WHERFIAS, the State of California �ander Cy�,pter 47, Statn.tes of
19� (4th Estra Session), has appropriated funds for allotment by the Cirector
o£ Finance to provide financial assistance to Local Agencies defined therein
as countiea, cities or cities and counties for the puxpose o£ defraying not to '
exceed one—half the cost of preparing engineering field surveys, engineering or
architectural desig�ns, and,working and detailed drawings and specifications
(hereinafter called °Plans°) required for postwar public works projects des—
cribed as °specific projects° in said Act; and
WHEREAS,.the City of Lynwood, hereina£ter designated as °I,ocal
9gency°, desires to apply to the Director of Finance and�oi the State Allocation
Board, as the casa ma,y be, for an allotment of the State�s share of the estimated
cost of preparing the completed plans hereinafter mentioned and there has been
prepared and presented to this legislative'body for consideration an application
, for snch purpose; and
WHEP�EAS, Local agency has provided, or will make aeailable upon
approval of the aforementioned application, sufficient funds to prepare the
completed plans herein mentioned; and
WAEEti:AS, I,ocal agency has to its credit a total unexpended balance
of Eive Thousand 7.tvo Hundred Seventeen and 50�100 Dollars ($5,21�.$0) allocated
under anolications mzmbered 323 and 653; now therefore be it
1�SOLVED, that local agency submit the aforesaid application
to the Director o£ Finance and�or the State Allocation Board, as the case may be,
requesting allotment of Six Thousand 7tvo Hundred Fi£teen and 59�100 Dollars
($ being not more than one—half the cost o£ preparing sa3d completed
plans, or £or such amount as nay be approved by tkie Director of Finance and�or
the State A1location Board (said allotment to be used for tho purpose of defraying
the cost of preparing said completed plans reQUired), for a specific project to

be undertaken by local agency and described as °City Hall P].ans°; be it £nrther '
RESOI,YED, that the estimated cost of preparing such plans, is �
Fifteen Thonsand Dollars ($15,000) and that local agency has made provision for
paying one—Y�a.lf or more of the cost o£ preparing such plans; be it further
RESOI,VED that unexpended funds remaining under applications
mimbe_red 323 and 653 be cancelled out and tl�at such funds be reallocated to
the above named project; be it further _
RESOI,9ED, thati for the purposes of this application; .A. J. Bateman, �
City Manager, City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, T,ynwood, California be"and he hereby
is designated as the authorized agent of local agency and is hereby au.thorized
and directed to sign the above mentioned application on behalf of the local'
2gency and submit the sa.me to the Director of Finance and�or the State Allocation
Board together with a certified statement of the estimated cost of preparing
such plans and such other information as may be required; and said authorized '
agent is further authorized a.nd directed as the representative of local agency to
conduct all negotiations and conclude all arrangements, including submission to
the Director o£ Finauce of avpl3cations for reimbursement, which may be necessary
. to secure reimbursement £or the State�a share o£ the.e_xpenditures mc�de in pre—
paring said completed plans.
