AWARDING BID FOR THE INDUSTRIAL ROAD
BUFFER LANDSCAPING PROJECT
\VHEREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for the Industrial Road Buffer
Landscaping Project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received seven (7) bid proposals for the Industrial Road
Buffer Landscaping Project as follows:

1. Pat Scanlan Landscaping S 69.825.00
2. Louis Barbato Lanascaping S 117.945.00
3. Ascape Landscaping S 137.353.00
4. Andy Matt, Inc. S 187.395.00
5. J .A. Alexander, Inc. S 138.750.00
6. Down to Earth Landscaping S 144.630.00
7. Shatlger Property Services, Inc. S 264.190.64
"'HEREAS, Pat Scanlan Landscaping, has submitted the lowest bid for said contract as evidenced by the
response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and with the Borough Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has recommended the
award of a contract to Pat Scanlan, in a total amount not to exceed $69,825.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said purpose.
NO\V THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret as
follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Pat
Scanlan Landscaping, New City, NY for the Industrial Road Buffer Landscaping Project for
the sum of $69,825.00 in accordance in all respects with the request for proposals and bid on
same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department
and Borough Engineer.

3. That the aforementioned award of bid is contingent upon fonnal approval from the New
Jersey Department of Labor, Division of Wage and Hour Compliance.
