Reconstruction project until 3:00 pm local time on January 4, 2018 at the Office of the Select Board/Town Administrator, located at 2198 Main Street in Brewster, MA 02631 at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids submitted after this time will not be accepted. The work consists of site clearing, installation of drainage, construction and paving of a road. The Town Administrator for the Town of Brewster, Massachusetts, will receive sealed Bids for the South Pond Rd. Reconstruction project until 3:00 pm local time on January 4, 2019 at the Office of the Select Board/Town Administrator, located at 2198 Main Street in Brewster, MA 02631 at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids submitted after this time will not be accepted. The work consists of site clearing, construction and paving of a road. A copy of the Contract Documents for the Work may be obtained from the Office of the Board of Selectmen/Town Administrator, located at 2198 Main Street in Brewster, MA 02631. The Contract Documents may be examined during normal business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the value of the Bid in the form described in document 00100, instructions and information for bidders. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract Price, will be required by general bidders in the form described in document 00100, instructions and information for bidders. The road and drainage work project is exempt from the Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Deputy Director of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27H, as amended. No Bidder may withdraw its Bid within thirty (30) days (Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded) after the actual date of the Bid opening. Office of: Select Board Town Administrator This Contract is being Bid under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M. The Owner may waive any informalities or minor defects, or reject any or all Bids, if it is in the best interest of the Owner to do so. South Pond Road Betterment and North Pond Road Betterment are two separate projects. Each requires its’ own bid bond, performance and payment bond, contract and separate sealed bid.
