RESOLUTIGN OF INTENTION IN TfiE MATTER OF THE
IR4PROVEMENT Or^ BRADFIELD AVEVUE, ET AL, IIQ THE
CITY OF LYNtid00D BY THE CONSTRUCTION OF CEMENT
CONCRETE CURBB, CEMFNT CONCRETE GUTTERS AND
CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALKS.
W"HEREAB�, pursuant to the provieiona of Division 4 of the
8treets and Highways Code, cited as the "Snecial Aseeasment Investi-
gation Limitation and Ma,jority Proteat Act of 1991" the City Council
of the City of Lynwood has determined that the improvement of Brad-
field Avenue, et al, ae proposed in Resolution No. z3o9 of said City
ia feasible, and that the public interest,.convenience and necessity
require the improvernent subata.ntiallv as aet forth in said report, .
and
WHEREAS, said City Council has found that the lands to
be assesaed will be able to atand the burden of the proposed aeseae-
raent,
NOVJ, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
dity of Lynwood as follows:
Section 1: That in the opinion of the City Council o£
the City of Lynwood the public interest and convenience require
and it ia tne intention of said City Council to order the follow-
ing work, or improvement, to be done, to-wit:
The conatruction of cement concrete curbs and.cement
concrete gutters in the following Avenues and Drivesi
BRADFIELD AVENUE between the southerly line of Agnes
Avenue and tne northerly line of Carlin Avenue;
GE�TRUDE DRIVE between the southerly line of Agnee Avenue
and the northerly line of Magnolia Avenue;
CORNISH AVENUE between the southerly line of Agnes Avenue
and the nortnerly line of Magnolia Avenue;
MtTRIEL DRIVE between the southerly line of Agnea Avenue
and the northerly line of Magnolia Avenue;
The eoutherly side of AGNSS AVENUE between a line 1,50 feet
westerly of and parallel to the northerly prolongation of the westerly
line of Bradfield Avenue znd the vaesterly line of Thoreon Avenue;

The northerly side oP CARLIN AVENUE between a line 15 feet
westerly of and parallel to the soutnerly prolongation of the westerly
line oP Bradfield Avenue and a line 1$ feet easterly of �nd bara11e1
to the southerly prolongation of the easterly line of Bradfield Avenue.
Portions of P�IAGNOLIA AVENUE between the easterly line of
Bradfield Avenue and the taes�erly line of Thorson Avenue; ,
The westerly aide of THORSON AVE�UE Uetween the center line
o£ Agnea Avenue and the center line of Carlin Avenve, together with
portione of intersecting atreete;
The conatruction of cement concrete sidewalks in the
weaterly,aide of THORSON AVEDdUE between the center line of Agnea
Avenue and the center line of Carlin Avenue including portiona of
, interaecting streets.
All of aaid work or improvement shall be performed in the
public ways and between the limita hereinbefore designated excent
where the plans indicate that eaid.,work�shall be omitted.
That all of the wo or improvement aforesaid shall be
done and performed in accordance V�ith and to the grades shot,m on
Plana and Specificatione No. 1951-C-1 on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said City. 8aid plans are hereby referred to for a
£ull and complete description of said propoaed work and £or the
grades to which the vrork is to be done and said plans and epeci-
ficationa axe by reference made a part hereof and eh�ll govern for: .
all details of the proposed work.
That the total estimated coet of said work or improve-
ment ia the sum of Seventeen Thousand Severi Hundred and Thirty-aeven
Dollars and Seventy-seven Cente (�17,737.77).
Section 2: Trat said conte�plated work or impro�rement, in
the opinion of said City Council is of more thar local or ordinary
public benefit, and said City Council hereby determines and declares
that the dietrict to be benefited by said work, or improvement, and
to be asaessed to pay the costs and expensea of such work or improve-
ment, is shown on Plan No. 1951-C-2 on file in the office of the
. Cit,y Clerk of said Cit,y to which reference.is hereby made for a full
and complete deacription of tne asaeasnent diatrict.

Section 3: The City Council hereby determinea and declares
that aerial bonda enall be ieaued in the manner and form provided in
Division 7 of the Streete and Highways Code cited as the °Improvement
Act of 1911 ae amended, bearing intereat at the rate of eix per cent
per annum to represent each aeaeeament of Twenty-five Dollara (�25.00)
or over, remaining unpaid for thirty days after the date of the warrant;
_ Said aerial bonda shall extend over a period ending nine yeara from the
second day of January next aucceeding the next October fi£teenth follow- '
ing their date. Said bonde and intereat thereon ahall be paid at the
office of the City Treaeurer and the same aha.11 be disbursed by him,
all as provided in the said "Improvement Act of 1911", as amended.
Section 4: Notice la hereby given that the provisione of
that certain act o£ the Legislature of the State of California desig-
nated ae the 8treets and Highways Code Division 4, cited as the
�'Special Asseasment Investigation Limitation and MaJority Protest
�ct of 1931", as amended, have heretofore been fully compiled with
and all the reports required under the provisione of eaid Act are on
file in the office of the City Clerk oP said City, open to public
inepection, and may there be examined by all intereated peraona.
.Section $: The proceedinge,for the aforeeaid work, or im-
provement, shall be taken under an Act of the Legislature of the State
of Cali£ornia designated ae the 8treets and Highwaye Code, Diviaion 7
cited as the "Improvement Act of 1911 and amendments thereto.
Section 6: The City Engineer ia hereby directed to make a
diagram of tne property affected or benefited by said propoaed work or
impropement as deacribed herein and to be asaeseed to pay the coats
and expenses of eaid work, ehowing each separate lot, place or parcel
of land and the dimenaiona of each auch lot, piece or parcel of land
and the relative location of the aame to the work, or improvement, pro-
posed to be done, all within the limite of eaid aseesement district.

Section 7: The City Engineer, who ie the Superintendent
oP Streete, is hereby directed to post noticea of the passa.ge of thia
Resolution in the time, form, and manner required by law.
Section 8: Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the
15th day of May, 1951, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., at the Coun-
cil Ehambers in the Ci�y Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, in the City of
Lynwood, any and all oersona having any ob�ectiona or proteats to
said propoeed work or improvement, or to the extent of the district
to be aeseased or to the gradea to which the work is proposed to be
done, may appear before said City Council and show cause why said
propoaed work, or improvement should not be carried out in accordance
with thia Resolution.
� Section 9: The City Clerk ahall certify to the paesage of
this Reaolution by the City Council of eaid.City of Lynwood and cause
the same to be publiehed twice in the LynVrood Preea, a weekly newa-
paper publiehed �nd circulated in eaid City and hereby desi�nated by
said City Council for the purpoaea aforesaid. Said Clerk ie aleo
directed to mail noticea of the adoption of this Resolution of_Inten-
tion in the time, form, and manner, and to the peraons, all as provided
in said "Improvement Act of 1911",,as amended.
