RESOLUTION OF INTENTION IN THE'MATTER OF:THE
IM!'ROVEMENT OF PEACH STREET IN THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD BY THE CONBTRUCTION OF CEMENT.CONCRETE

� WHII?EAS, burauant to the provisiorie of Division 4 of the
Streets and Highwaya Code, cited as the !'8pecial Aesessment Investi-
. gatiori�Limitat:ion and Ma,ority Protest Act of 1931° the�City. Council
of the City of Lynwood has determined that the improvement of P,eacl�
Street, as proposed in Resolution No. 2308�of said City is feasible,
� . and that the public�interest, convenience and necesaity require the
improvement aubstantiaZZy as set iorth in said report, and�
, VJHEREAS, said City Council has fovnd that the lands to
, be.aesessed vtill be able to atand'the burderi of the.proposed.asseas-
ment ,, .: .
NOW, THE:REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of tne .
City of'Lynwood as followe: •`' •
Section li That in the opinion of the City Council of
the City of Lynwood the public inter,eet and convenience require,
� , and it is the intention of said City:Council to order the follow-
, ing work, or.improvement, to be done, to-wit:
The eonstruction of cement concrete curbs, cement concrete
� gutters and ceinent concrete sidewalks Sn PEACH STREET between the
riortherly line of Banning Avenue and the center line of Weber Avenue
` _ and,its easterly prolonga.tion together with portions of intersecting
- ' �streets.
} All of said work .or improvement ah.all be per£ormed in the
public ways and between the limita hereinbefore deaignated except
where the plana indicate that said.work ahall be omitted:
That all.of the work or improvement aforesaid shall be
done and performed in accordance with and to the grades shown on

Plans and Specifications No 1951-&-1 on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said City. Said plans are hereby referred to for a
fu11 and complete description of said propoaed work and for the
grades to which the work ie to be done and said plans and specifi-
� cations are by reference made a part hereof and sha11 govern for a11
details of the proposed.work. .

� . Bection 2: Tnat said contem�lated work or improvement, in
the oroinion of said_ City Gouncil ia of more than local or ordinary
� public benefit, and said City Council hereby determinea and declares
that the district to be qenefited by said work, or improvement, and �
to be assessed to.pay the coste and expenses of such worl{ or improve-
ment, ie shown on Plan No 195i-s-2 on fi7:e in the office of the City
. Cl;erk of said City to which reference ia hereby made for a full and
complete description of the asseasment cZistrict.
5ection 3; The City Council hereby=,determines and declares
that serial bonds shall be isaued in the manner and form provided in
Diviaion 7 of the Streets and Highways Code cited. as the °Improvement
. Act of 1911°, ae amended, bearing intereat �t the rat of six per cent
per annum to represent each asseeament o•f;TUrenty-five Dollars (�25.00)
or over, remaining unpaid for thirty days after the date of the warrant;
Said serial bonds shall extend over a roeriod.ending nine years from the
' second day of January next succeeding tne next October fifteenth £ollow-
ing their date, ,Said bonds and interest thereon ahall be paid at the
office of the City Treasurer a.nd the same ahall be disburaed by him,
� all.aa.provided in the aaid "Improvement Act of 1911�', as,amended.'
.Section 4; Notice is hereby g3ven that the provisione of

nated as the Streets and Highways Code Division 4, cited ae the
. "OSpecial Asaeasment Investigation Limit2tion and Tda,jority Proteet
• Act of 1931", as amended, have heretofore been £ully complied t�aith

� and all the reporta required under the provisiona of said Act.are on
file in the office of the City Clerk of eaid City, open to public
inspection, and may there be examined by all intereated persona.
Section $: The proceedinga for the aforesaid wo or im-
provement,.shall be ta�en under an Act of the Legislature of the State
of California designated as the Streeta and Highways Code, Division 7
cited as the "I�provenent Act of 1911", and amendments thereto.
Section 6: The City Engineer is hereby directed to make a
diagram of the property affected or benefited by said propoaed work or
improvement as described herein and to be asseaeed to pay the costa
and expensea of said work, ahowing each separate lot, place or parcel
of land and the dimenaions of each such lot, piece or parcel of land I
and the relative location of the same to the work, or improvement, pro-
. posed to be done, all within the limi�s of said asseaement district.
Section 7: The City Engineer, who ie the Superintendent �
' of Streets, is hereby directed to poat notices of tne passage of .thia
Resolvtion in the ti��, form, and manner required by law.
. _._.Section.8: Notice ie hereby given that on Tuesday, the
15th day of May, 1951, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., at the Coun-
cil Chambere in the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, in the City of
Lyniaood, any and all peraone having any ob�ectione or proteata to
eaid propoeed work or improvement, or to the extent of the diatrict
to be assessed or to the gradea to zahich the work is propoaed to.be
done, may appear before sa.id. City Council and show cause why said
propoaed work, or improvement should not be carried out in accordance
with this Reeolution..
Section 9: The City Clerk ahall certify to the paasage of
this Resolution by the City Council o£ said City of Lynwood and cause
the same to be publiahed twice in the Lynwood Prees, a weekly news-
paper publiahed and circulated in said City and hereby designated by
eaid City Council for the purpoees aforesaid. Said Clerk is also

directed to mail notices of the adoption of this Reeolution of
Intention in the time, form, and manner, and to the pereona, all
ae provided in said. "Improvement Act of 1911", as amended.
