HomeMy Public PortalAbout2019.06.12 GAC Minutes McCall Golf Advisory Meeting Minutes for June 12, 2019 Attendees: Eric McCormick, Allan Morrison, Paul Stover, Ken Stearns, Kara Jeffus, Rita Bolli-Neal. Absent: Michael Hayes, Kristin Christensen. Public Comment: None Meeting Minutes for May 8th; approved by Ken and seconded by Kara. Motion carried. Signed by Rita and Eric. Eric's Report: Staffing has been a challenge. They have hauled logs from course from downed trees and have done chipping of winter debris. Irrigation is running well after much trouble shooting and repirs and fountains are on which need some work. Need to grind the blades on the fairway mowers. Fertilizer is in and the vole damage has been seeded. Pavers are complete at the event area and the tent will go up this month for scheduled events. Allan's Report: A revenue report was handed out reflecting we are behind last year, which was a banner year, but ahead of the 5 year average. Also note that ' for the first 12 days of June we are ahead of last year's numbers for the same time period. A reminder we could not open until Memorial Day weekend, which was not great golf weather, and we have opened earlier in previous years. 312 golfers have signed up for this weekend's 2-man best ball, the senior women's scramble is later this month along with the senior men's match play. The annual Hawkin's tournament is scheduled for July 5th. Monthly Topic: Rules and Regulations. These were reviewed and revised extensively over the winter and adopted by city council. It is recommended they be posted in obvious locations around the Clubhouse. Old Business: Cameras at Cedar and Driving Range and a New Entrance Sign — nothing to report on these ongoing projects. The new Rules class on May 8th was well received with approximately 50 attendees. We are considering doing another presentation this summer. The LOT request for the new bathroom was completed and submitted by the deadline. Paul noted there was a strong urine odor near the bathrooms at Aspen green #4. New Business: Paul Stover is moving outside city limits and is resigning effective immediately. He was thanked for his many years dedicated to the Advisory Committee. Next Meeting: 4;00 pm on July 10, 2019 Topic: Review five-year Plan Meeting was adjourned. Psi:Lyrk.-1$7 C `R
