Meeting Minutes
June 6, 2019 12:00 PM

Members Present: Mark Thorien,Mike Weiss(telephone), Shawn Walters, Charles Jones.

Mike Weiss called the meeting to order at 12:07 PM. As Mr.Weiss was on the phone Charles
Jones ran the meeting.
Public Comment: None.
Approval of Minutes from May 2,2019: Mark Thorien made a motion to accept the May 2,
2019 regular meeting minutes which was seconded by Shawn Walters and passed unanimously.
Sawtooth Flying Fuel Tank Lease: Sawtooth Flying changed their proposal for Self Service
Fuel to a Self-Fueling proposal. To meet minimum standards a lease was proposed to allow fuel
tank placement and vehicle parking. The AAC recommended the lease rate be the same as the
current fuel farm. Mark Thorien moved to recommend approval of the lease and it was seconded
by Shawn Walters. The motion passed unanimously.
Code Revision-Airport Zoning Update: Mr. Scherer briefed Kushlan and Associates was
working to develop the code language and draft land use guidelines.
Triangle Hangars: Mr. Scherer provided a revised layout for triangle hangars for presentation to
City Council. Kevin Bissell recommended layout changes to bet with previous FAA
coordination. Airport Manager will receive Council direction.
Tie-down Contracts Revision: The Airport Manager presented draft language changing the tie
down policy to eliminate reserved tie down spaces. Shawn Walters motioned to recommend
approval to City Council. Mark Thorien seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Parallel Taxiway: Mr. Scherer briefed that a planning grant and contract were going to council
and some initial scope of the parallel taxiway project. Planning will take place in FY19
construction starts in FY20. Grants have been received that will reduce the City liability to no
more than$30,000 for an up to$11M project.
Three Month Calendar Review: The three-month calendar was reviewed to include the Airport
Open House on July 6, 2019 and Drone Camp June 17-19.
Motion to adjourn was made by Mark Thorien and seconded by Rick Fereday which passed
unanimously. The Committee adjourned at 12:46PM
