CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.2011-51
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR
HUNTER DRIVE (NORTH) IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Hunter Drive (North)
reconstruction improvement project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law,
and five bids were received which complied with the advertisement; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Geislinger & Sons, Inc. of Watkins, Minnesota is the lowest
responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. The mayor and interim city administrator -clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to enter into a contract with Geislinger & Sons, Inc. of Watkins, Minnesota, in the name of the
city of Medina, for a bid of $1,474,536.71. Said bid includes a base bid of $1,460,261.71 plus
Alternate No. 1, installation of a raingarden, in the amount of $14,275.00, all according to the
plans and specifications approved by the city council and on file in the office of the interim city
administrator -clerk.
2. The interim city administrator -clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return
forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the
successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Martinson upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Martinson, Pederson, Weir
and the following voted against same: (Absent: Crosby, Siitari)
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
