RESOLU^1ION OF IIQTENTIODI IN THE A4ATTER OF THE
ITRPROVETdENT OF PORTION3 OF PEACH BTREET IN 1HE
CITY OF LYNttJ00D BY THE COIQSTRUCTION OF SANIIARY
SEG7ERS AND APPURTENANT WORK.
WF3EREAS, pursuant to the provielona of Section 2808 oE
Division 4� of the Streeta and Highways Code, cited as the "Special
Aeseasment Investigation Limitation and Ma.iorit,y Protest Act of 1931",
the City Council of the City of Lynwood has determined by Reaolution
No 2363 that the improvement of PEACA STREET by the construction of
sanitary sewers ie feasible, and that the public interest, convenience
and neceseity require the improvement eubstantially as eet forth in
said report, and
�PHEREAB, said City Council has Pound that the lande to be
aseeased will be able to etand the burden oP the proposed asaeeament,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Lynwood as followa:
Section 1: That in the opinion of the City Council of
the City of Lynwood the public interest and convenience require
, and it is the intention of eaid City Couneil to order the follow-
ing work, or improvement, to be done, to-F:it:
The conetruction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewera
to�ether with manhole, lamphole, wye branches and all appurtenant
work in PEACH 9TREET bet�reen the southerl.y line of Banning Avenue
and a line 10 feet southerly of and parallel to the northerly line
of Burton Avenue.
All of said work or improvement shall be performed in
the public waya and between the limita hereinbe�'ore deaignated,
except where the plane indicate that eaid �rork ahall be omitted.
That all of the work or improvement aforesaid ahall be
done and performed in accordance vaith and to the gradea ahotan on

Plana and Speci£icationa.No. 1951-R-1 on file in the office o£ the
City Clerk of eaid City. Said plana are hereby referred to for a
ful.l and complete description of said proposed work and for�the •
gradea to which the work is to be done and said plana and epecifi-
cations are by.reference made a part,hereof and ahall �overn for all
details of the proposed work:
That the total eatimated cost of said work or improvement
� ie the sum of One thouaand Eight hundred znd no/100 Dollara (�1,800.00).
Section 2: That said_ contemplated vrork or improvement., in
the opinion of said City Council ia of more than local or ordinary �,
. public benefit, and said City Council hereby deterninee and declaree I
+hat the diatrict to be benefited by said work, or improvement, and
to be aesessed to pay the costs and expenses of such work or improve-
ment, ia shown on Plan IQo �95�-R-2 on file in the office of the City
Clerk of said City to which reference ia herebY made for a full and
complete description of the assessment district.
8ection 3: The City �Council here.by determines and declarea
that serial bonda ehall be isaued in the manner and form provided in
Diviaion � of the Streeta and Highways Code cited as the "Improvement
Act of 1911", as amended, bearing interest at the rate of aix per cent
per annun to represent each asseasment of Twenty-five Dollare (�2�.00)
or over, remaining unpald for thirt.y days after the date of the warrant;
said aerial bonds ahall extend over a period ending nine yeara from the
aecond day oP January next aucceeding the next October fiPteenth follow-
ing their date. Said bonda and interest thereon ahall be paid at the
office of the City Treaeurer and the same ehall be disbursed by him,
all as provided in the eaid "Improvement Act of 1911", aa amended.
8ection 4: Notice is hereby given that the proviaions oP
that certain act of the Legislat�re of the 3tate of California
deeignated as tne Streete and Highways Code Diviaion 4, cited as
the "8pecial Aseesament Investigation Limitation and hia�ority Proteat
Act of 1931°, as amended, have heretofore been fully complied with as

aet forth in Sectlon.2808 of said act and all the reporte .required
under the proviai.one of said act are on file in the office.of the
City Clerk�of said Gity, open to public inepection, and may there
be examined by all intereated pereone.
Section 5; The proceedinga for the aforesaid work, or im-
provement, ahall be taken under an Act of the Legialature of the State.
of California designated as the Streete and Highways Code, Divieion 7
cited ae the �'Improvement Act of 1911", �nd amendmente thereto.
Section 6: The City Engineer ia hereby directed to make a
diagram of the property affected or benefited by aaid propoaed work or
improvement as deacribed herein and to be aeseeaed to pay the coata
and expenaea of saicl work, ahowing each aeparate lot, place or parcel
of land and the dimensiona of each auch lot, piece or parcel of land
and the relative location of the aame to the work, or improver�ent, pro-
poeed to be done, all within the limits of said asseesment district.
Section �: The City Engineer, who is the Superintendent
of 8treete, ie hereby directed to poat'noticea of the passage of this
Reeolution in the time, form, and manner 'required by la*rr,
8ection 8: Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the
6th day of November, 1951, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., at the
Council Chambere in the City I3a11, 11331 Plaza 8treet, in the City of
Lynzaood, any and all pereons having any ob,Jections or protests to
said propoeed work or improvement, or to the extent of the district
to be aeaessed or to the grades to ti•�hich the work ia proposed to be
done, may appear before said Cit,y Council and show cause why eaid
propoeed work, or improvement ahould not be carried out in accordance
with thia Reaolution,
Section 9: The City Clerk ehall certify to the passage
of this Resolution by the City Council oP said City of Lynwood and
cauae the eame to be published t�rice in the Lynwood Press, a weekly
newapaper publiahed and circulated in said City and hereby deaignated

by said City Council for the purposes aforesaid. Said Clerk is also
directed to mail noticea of the adoption of this Resolution of
Intention in the time, form, and manner, and to the peraona, all
aa provided 1n said "Improvement Act oP 1911°, as amended.
