RESOLUTION OF �HE CITY COUIQCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD PROTESTIPiG DISCONTINUANCE OF RAILVTAY .

�UESTING THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COP42/iI5SI0N OF THE
STATE OF CALIr^ORNIA TO HOLD A HEARING CN TI:E MAT-
TER OF SAID PROP06ED DISCON`PINUANCE.
- l^T"dEREAS, the Rail�ay Express Agency, Lynwood, has been
maintained at 11320 Plaza Street in the City of Lyn�ood for more than
twenty yeara, and
t�IER.EAS, said agency has provided a continuing efficient and
valuable service to the City of Lyn�aood and its citizens, and
F�ffiEREAS, notice h2s been given of the proposed diacontinuance
of eaid Railtiray Exprese Agency at Lynwood, and
S+II?EREA3, such discontinuance, if approved, will result in .
serious inconvenience, da�age, and in�ury to the City of Lymaood and
its citizens who have en,joyed thia aervice for so many ye2ra,
NOtd, THEREFORE, BE IT RE50LVED by the City Council of the
" City of LynU!ood that it does hereby protest the discontinuance of the
Lynwood office oP the Railtaay Expresa Agency and doea hereby urgently
request that said ageney be maintained as in the past, ancl hereby re-
quests be reason of the wide-spread concern manifested to this Council
by the citizene of the City oY Lynwood, that the Yublic Utilitiea Com-
misaion of the State of California set a time ancl place for hearing on
the ma.tter of said proposed diacontinuance and that the City and inter-
eeted parties be given adeauate notice of the time and place of said
hearing and the City Clerk is hereby �uthorized an� directed to forV�ard
a certified copy of this resolution to the Railway Expres� and to the
, Public Utilities Com.r:.isaion of the State of California. ,
