SE IT RF;SOLVED by the City Council of the City of I,ynwood as follows; Section l: That Resolution No. 2035 of the City of Lynwood, adopted the 18th day oi Marcn, 1947 prescribes the time and method of paying salaries and wages o£ the o£ficers and employees o£ the City of Lynwood as re- quired by Section 37206 of the Government Code o£ California. Recreation Helper 1.00 to, 1.10 per hr. Secretarial 1.00 to 1.25 per hr. Crossing Guards 0.75 per hr. Section 3: The base pay is the salary or vrage of officera and employees before establishment of the °cost o£ living adjustment.° Gross salaries or wages result from adding the ��cost of living adjustment° to the base pay. The °cost o£ living adjustment° amount is arrived at by applying the £ollowing fo:mula, based upon the °Consumers� Price Index for Moderate Income Families° as supplied by the United Statea Department o£ I,abor, Sureau of Labor Statistics, Regi.on V, for I,os Angeles: }�ase salaries are assumed the eqnivalent o£ an index of 130.00. Point value is established at $],�j"5 per point. Minimum index variat3on required to affect•gross salary is established at 22 points, applied to the nearest full point with..51 being the overbalancing factor. Adjustment may be accomplished from the index reported Ma.ich-15th and September lsth, effective July lst, a.nd January lst, respectively. , Section 4: The.following classi£ications are e�luded,from the ��cost of living adjust�ent°: City Attomey Clerk Clerk Court Judge Engineer City Mwager City Treasurer Retirement.Administrator Secretary Planning Commission Hourly Employees. Section 5: In the event there is to be an adjustment,in accorciance with the foregoing formula, the City Manager shall report sucn ad�ustment and the basis thereo£, to the City Council. S�ch report sY�all be in writing. Upon approval of such report by the City Council, such adjnstment may be put into ef£ect. Section 6: No officer or emplovee sball have any vasted right in the base pay or cost of living ad,jnstment as herein set fortn and the City Council may, from time to time, r,l��nge, alter, or modify any of the foregoing schedule, either o£ base pay or cost of living adjnstment. —} ` � �. . . . . . . Section 7: Nothing herein contained sk�all be construed in a.�y way a££ecting Ordinances Numbers 229, 427 and 530. Civil Service Ordinances of the City of Lymaood, or the rules and regulations adopted pursuant thereto. .
