APRIL 18, 2018
The City Council is requested to receive and file the Parks and Recreation Commission
actions from their meeting of April 18, 2018.
BACKGROUND:
On April 18, 2018, the Parks and Recreation Commission held their regularly scheduled
meeting.
ANALYSIS:
Following is a summary of actions taken at the April 18, 2018 Parks and Recreation
Commission meeting:
1. ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioner - Georgino, Rosso, Vance, Chairman Baroldi
Absent: Commissioner- None
Excused: Commissioner - Haddad
2. CONSENT CALENDAR
The
Parks and Recreation

approved the
minutes of the March 21,
2018
meeting and received
and filed the
Monthly Report
for March 2018.

3. NEW BUSINESS
A. REQUEST FROM THE MISS TEMPLE CITY AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
FOR RESERVED USE OF THE PERFORMING ARTS PAVILION AND
GRASS AREAS AT TEMPLE CITY PARK ON SATURDAY, APRIL 28, 2018
FOR A CULTURE FESTIVAL AND CONSIDERATION OF A FEE WAIVER
The Commission approved the request.
B. OVERVIEW OF TREES AND PARKWAYS DIVISION
The Commission received an overview of the Trees and Parkways Division.
4. UPDATE FROM PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR
A. The Commission received the Parks and Recreation Director's .Report for
April 2018.
CITY STRATEGIC GOALS:
Reviewing the Commission actions of April 18, 2018 furthers the City's Strategic Goal of
Citizen Education and Communication.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2017-18 City Budget.
