A RESOLUTION REq,tTSSTING STATE ACQUISITION AID POR
BQI�LIS ROAD CIVIC CEIJTER SITE.
WHERElA5, the State of California under Chapter 47, Statutes of 1944-
(4th Extra Se�sion) has appropriated £unds for allotment to provide financial assis-
tauce to Loca.l Agencies defined therein as counties, cities or citi.es and counties
£or the purpose of defraying not to e::ceed one-half the cost of a.cquiring rights-
o£ wa.y or sites for public works projects determined to be desirable in postwar
public works progra.ms of such I,ocal Agencies, and
WHE;P.EAS, the City of Lynwood, hereinafter decigx�ted aa °Local
Agency°, desires to submit its request £or State aid in the acquisition of a righ�
of-way or site'under said Act; and
VlEiEtREAS, a request to the Postwar Public Vforks Review Board £or such
aid has been prepared and presented to this Legislative Body for consideration; and �
4JI3F1REA5, Local Agency has ma.de provisions for paying one-half or more
of the cost of suchacoui.sition;
N04I THERE;FbRE EE; IT RESOL�D, tha.t Local Agency submit the afore-
eaid request for acquisition aid to tha Postw�r Public Works Revie�a Board foi the
State�s share of the cost of such acquisition; and
BE IT EUR'1.�3ER RESOLVED, that Local Agency hereby certi£ied that the •
total estimated cost to be paid for the acquisition of the ri��-of-iaay or site
£or which it is requestix� sid under said. Act is Thirtv one Thousand One Hundred
2dinety-three and 40�100 Dollara ($31,193.40); and `
BE IT FT7RTHF,R RESOLVED, tha.t for Ghe y�izrpose of this request,
A. J. Bate�an, City Manager, City Ha.11, L;/nwood, Cali£ornia, be and he hereby is
designated as the authorized a.gent of Local Agency and is hereby authorized ar.d
directed to »ign the herein mentioned re�uest on behalf of Local Agency and to
submit the sz.me to the Postwar Azblic ti�'orks Review Bo�wrd together with certlfied
statement o£ the total cost to be paid for the acquisition of the herein mentioned
right-o£-way or site and sucn other information as may be required; and said authon-
ized agent is further authorized and directed �s the representative of Locwl Agancy

to conduct all negotiations ar_d conclv.de all arrangements, including submission to
the Director of �inance of applications for pa�ment, which may be necessary to .
secure payment of the State�s share of the cost o£ the acouisition of the �fore—
mentioned right—of—way or site. �
