_ RESOLUTION RE�,UESTING AI.LOCATION OF STATE '
- FUTIDS.
k2iEREAS, the State of California, vnder Chauter 20, Statutes o£
1946 (Eztra Session), as amended, has appropriated fUnds for allotment to provide
for financial assistance to loczl agencies, de£ined therein as covnties, c3ties .
and counties or cities, so that they may engage in a large public i�rorks program
in order to prevent and alleviate unemployment; and
W�REAS, the City of I,ynwood desires to apply £or a supplementa.l
allotment of St�te aid for the construction o£ a rnabTic works project under said
Act; and
i�;P�F;AS, an application to the State Director of Finance Por such
allotment has been prepared and presented to the City Council of the City of
Lymaood for consideration; and
41�1RF1AS, the City Comzcil of the City o£ I,ynwood has made provision
for paying that Dortion of the cost of the »roject not requested as an allotment �
from the State;
1QOW 'Il�REE'ORT�] � IT RF:SOLVED that the CitS� Council of the City of
� Il5'Y14JOOC�. submit the aforesaid aAAlication for State 2id for the construction of
a roublic wor?rs project to tne Director of Finance requesting a supplemental allot-
nent of- `�ree Hundred Sixty-�i'wo Dollars and Seventy-Nine Cents
(��-1�,362."7�), or an allotment of such amount 2s may be allotted by the State
Allocation Board; �
BE IT FURT�:R RESOLVED that the City Council o£ th'e City of Lynwood
Yiereby certi£ied that the total cost of the construction of the California Avenue
Extension Trunk� Section 1, for w-ich said city is making the application under
said. Act is One Hundred Forty-`It�ro 7�ousand Forty-Pline Dollars ($142,049.00).
BE IT FURT6:n�R RESOLVED that the City Council of the Cit�* of I,ynwood
hereby requests the State to pay the State�s share of the total actual cost of
the construction of the project for which said city is malcing application for aid;

A. J. Bateman, City Engineer, Gity fiall, Lynwood, be and he is hereby dosignated
as the authorized w6ent of the City of I,ynwood and is hereby autnorized and
directed to sign the herein mentioned apnlication of said city and to submit the
same to the Stzte Director of Fina.nce, tagether with the certi£ied statemant of

the total cost paid for construction of the project hereih mentioned, and such
other information as may be required; and said authvrized agent is further
authorized and directed as representative o£ssaid city to conduct all negotiations
and conduct all arrangements with either the State Allocation Board or the Director
of Finance, including requests £or payinent o£ the State�s share of the cost o£ the
construction of the a.forementioned nu.Ulic tirorLs project.
