WHEREAS, pursuant to tue ��Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act
o£ 19g9 ,�� there has been presented to the City Council o£ the City of L,�nwood,
California, petition da.ted. May 23, 1949, executed by P. Van Luven, Frances D.
Marks, Ered tdyers, and_ Maxy A. Niyers, requesting the annexation of certain property
lying=�near the intersection o£ Wright Road and the Pacific Electric Railway Compai�y�s I
private right of vray, 2nd more paarticularly described as follows:
Seginnin� at the intersection of the northerly line ,
of the Pacific Electric Ra.ilrra,� Compa�y�s Private
Right of t4ay with the produced easterly line o£ Lot
1�, Tract No. $818 as snown on map recorded in Book
140, !'PagA 43 0£ blaps, Records of Los Angeles County,
California, said poir.t being on the easterl� boundary

' boundary of sa.id properties proposed to be so annexed, it is deemed advisable
to institute corrective nroceedings;

Section 1: `rhat mirsuant to the °Annexation of•Uniiil�aUited
Territory Act of 1939" the City Counbil o£ the City of L;,�nwood hereby gives
notice of said rorobosed annexation.
� Section 2: Said territory is hereby designated for identification
as °i9ri�t Roacl Annex TTo. 1.°
Section 3: Said:City Council hereby gives notice o£ and £ixes
the 6th day of December, i949 �t the hour of 8:00 o�clock p.m. in the Council
Chembers in the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, Lynwood, California, as the day,
hour, and place vrhen znd where any person owning real p^operty irithin such
territory so proposed to be annexed and having �ny objections to the proposed
annexation may appear before the City Council of said City of Lynceood and show
cause rrhy such territory should. not be so annexed.
� Section.�L: The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a covy
of this resolution to be rn�.blished once a week £or two successive vreeks prior
to said hearing, 3n the Lynwood Press, a newspaaer of general circulation,
published in said City o£ I,ynorood.
Section 5: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this i
re�olution.
