' RESOLUTION REQUEISTIIdG AI,LOCATION OF Sm9TE FUi�IDS
4if�;REAS, the State of Cali£ornia, under Chapter 20, Statutes of i946 -
(Extra Session), a.s amended, has appropriated funds for allotment to provide for
financial a,ssista.nce to local agencies, defined therein as counties, cities and
counties, or cities, so ti�a.t they may e�age in a large public works program in
- order to prevent and alleviate vnemployment; and '
FlHF�iE;AS, the City of Lynwood desires to anply £or an allotment of State
aid for the construction of a rn�.Ulic v;orks pro�ect under said Act; and
{^l�3E:REA5, an application to the State Director of Finance for such a.11ot-
ment has been prenared an� presented to the City Council of the City of Lymvood for
consideration; and -
4tAFIFtEAS, the City Council of the City o£ Lynwood has made provision for
paying t?�at portion of the cost of tne project not requested as an allotment from
the State;
NCW 'iIv�REFORE EE IT RESOLVED tnat the City Counci� o£ the City of
Lynwood submit the aforesaid auplication for State aid £or the construction of
a, public vrorks pro,ject to the Director of Finance requesting an allotment o£
Nine Thousand Dollars ($g,000').or aa allotment of such amount as may be allotted
by the State Allocation Boarcl;

hereby certifies tnat the total estimzte of the cost to be paid for the Atlantic
Avemze Trunk Lino, £or vrhich said city is ma?:ing the application under said Act,

BE IT FURTHF.Fi RESOLVED that the City Council of tne City o£ Lynwood
hereby requests the State to pay the State�s share of the total actua.l cost o£
the construction o£ the project £or orhioh said city is ma.king application for
aid;
BE IT FURTHF;R RESOLVED that for the purpose of this request,
A: J. Bateman, City Engineor, City Hall, I,ynwood, be and he is heroby de�ignated

as the authorized agent of the City of z,mwooa and is herevy authorized and
directed to sign the herein mentioned application oF said city and to submit the
same to the State Director of Fis� nce, together with the certified sta.tement o£
the total estimated cost to be paid for construction of the project herein
mentioned, and such other lnformation as may be ree,uired; and said authorized •
agent is f.urther authorized.a.nd directed 2s representative of said city to
conduct all negotiations and condact alI arrangements iaith either the St<te
Allocation Board or the �irector of Fina.nce, including requests for pa;naent of
the State�a share of the cost of tne construction of the aforementioned public
works pro,ject. ,
