RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTEST5 AND DETEf�NIINING
THAT THE CITY COUNCIL HAS AGQUIRED JURISDICTI�N
TO ORDER TE�IE PROPOSED WORK OR IMPROVET4ENT.
� «fiEREAB, said City Council did, on the 15th day oP November,
� 1949, adopt its Reaolution of Intention No. 2247 to order the improve-
ment of Orehard Avenue as described in said Resolution of Intention;
. and
, WHEREAS, Tuesday the 20th day of December, 19�9 at the hour
oP 8:00 o�clock P.M. at the Council,Chambere in the City Hall, in said
City of Lynwood, was the time and place eet in eaid Reeolution oP In-
tention, when and where any ob,jections to the proposed work or improve-
ment, or to the extent oP the distriat to be asaessed, or to the gradea
to which the work was propoaed to be done would be heard by said City
Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of sai�d City has heretoPore preaented
.and Piled an affidavit oY publication of eaid Resolution of Intention,
sho�,Tin� that the same was published according to la.ta; and
�tiTHEFfEAS, aaid City Clerk has also presented and Yiled his
affidavit of mailing notiees of the adoption of said Resolution of In-
tention in the time, form, and manner, and to the peraons, all as pro-
vided by an ActoP the Legislature of the State of California, deslgnated
- ae Division 7 of the Streets and Highwaya Gode, and cited as the °Im- •
provement Act of 1911", and amendments thereto, and
i�TFEREAS, the City.Engineer-Superintendent of Streete has here-
tofore presented and filed an aPfidavit sho�.*ing that notices oY the
passage oP eaid Reaolution of Intention have been posted in the manner
provided by eaid Act; and
WHEREAS; at sald heari�g held on the 20th day of December, •

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE80LVED by the City Gouncil of the �
City oP Lynwood, ae follows:
Sec,tion 1: That eaid proteata do not constitute a ma�ority
of the property proposed to be assessed and such proteste are hereby
onerruled.
Section 2: That said City Couneil has acquired full �urie-
