BE IT RESOLVED by the City Gouncil oP the City of Lynwood,
California, as followa:
WFiEREAa, pursuant to an Act of the Legislature of the State
of California, approvefl April 2�, 193'], and known aa the "Labor Code,°
the City Council of the Gity of Lync�rood ia required to ascertain the
general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing
rate of per die� wagea Por legal holidays and overtime work, in this
locality, for each craft or type of laborer, workman or mechanic needed
to exeaute the proposed contract for the reraoval of certain existirig im-
prove�cents including treea, driveways, curbs, and aidewalks-and the con-
atruction of cement concrete eurba, and cement conerete drivet�rays and
sidewalks and plant-mixed gutters in certain portiona oY Orehard Avenue,
, in accordance with Plans and Spe,csificationa No. 194�-I�-2 on file in the
office of the City Clerk of the said City of Lynwood.

Provided that not lees than one and one-ha.lf times the pre-
vailing Tate ahall be paid for any working time more than eight houra
during any one calendar day, and for time on Saturdays, Sundays, and

Provided that notwithstanding the general provision contained
herein, Flagmen, Guards, and Watehmen shall be paid one and one-halP

The foregoing prevailing h�age sehedule is baeed upon a

rates that the number oP houra of employment beara,to eight.
The rate oP eompensation for any classification not lieted
in the achedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed
work, ahall be commensurate and in aecord �aith the.ra.tes apecified
for aimilar and comp�rable claseification or for those perPormin�
aimilar or comparable dutiee.
