WHEREAB, purauant to the "�nnexation of Uninhabited Terri-
tory Act of 1939," there has been presented to the City Council oP the I
City of Lynti�rood, California, petition dated May 23, 1949, executed by i
P, Van Luven, Francea D, Marka, Fred Myers, and Mar� A. Myere, request-
ing the annexation of certain property lying near the intersection oP
Wright Road and the Pacific Electric Railway Company�a private right
of tvay, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the interaection of the northerly line
of the Pacific Electric Ra.ilway Compan,y�s Private
Right of Way with the produced easterly line of Lot
14, Tract No. 5818 as shown on map recorded in Book
140, Pa�e �3 of P+I�ps, Recorda of Los Angeles.County,
California, said point being on the easterly boun-
dary line of the City of Lynwood as said boundary
line exiated June 21, 19�9 thence easterly along
the northerly line of said right of way to the east-
erly line of !a'right Road; thence southerly to the
southweaterly corner oP Lot 6 of 5laueson Tract, ae
ahown on Map recorded in Book 3, Page 348 of Miscel-
laneous Records oP said County; thence easterly along
the southerly line of said Lot 6 to the southerly line
of aforementioned Pacific Electric Railway Company�s
Private gight of Way; thence easterly along said last
deacribed line to the westerly line cP the Loa Angel-
es County Flood Control Channel; thence northerly
along said last deacribed line to the northerly line
of aforementioned Lot 6 of Slausson Tract; thence
westerly along tne northerly line of said Lot 6 to
the easterly line of Wright ?toad; thence southerly
along the easterly line oP �dright Road to ita inter-
seCtion with the line 50 feet northerly of (meaeured
at right anglea) and parallel to the northerly line
of the pacific Electric Railway Company�e Private
Right oP �+!ay; thence westerly along said last dea-
cribed parallel line to the aforementioned easterly
boundary line oP the City of Lynwood; thence south-
erly along said easterly boundary line to the point
of beginning.
� WHEREAS, said territory is uninhabited, unincorporated
territory contiguous to the City of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, said petition is signed by the ownera of not leee
than one-fourth of the area of land in euch territory and representing
not less than one-fourth of th� assessed'value oP auch territory

Section 2: Said territory.is hereby designated for ident3-

Section 3: Said City Council hereby givea notice of and
fixes the 16th day of Auguat, 19�9 at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m,
in the Council Chambera in the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, Lynwood,
. California, ae the day, hour, and place when and where any peraon
ownin� real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed
and having any ob,jections to the proposed annexation may appear before
the City Council of said City of Lynwood and show cause why such terri-
tory ahould not be eo annexed.
Section 4: The Cit9 Clerk is hereby directed to eause a
copy of this resolution to be publiehed once a week for two aucceasive
weeks prior to said hearing, in the Lynwood Presay a newepaper oP
general circulation,. publiahed in said City oP Lynwood.
Section 5: The City Clerk ahall certify to the adoption
oY this resolution.
