RESOLUTIOTT OF iNTENTION IN 4'� MATTER OF 'i'F�
IMPROYEMENT OF SAN I,UIS A4ENUE, TfiE FIRST .

SVF�REAS, pursvant to the provisions o£ Divisioa 3 0£ the Streets
and Highways Code, cited as the °Special Assessment investigation Limitation
and Majority Protest Act of 1931,° the C3ty Council of the City of Lynwood
has determined that the improvement of portions o£ San Lu.is Avenue, the
first alley northerly of Imperial Highway,'and the first alley easterly of
Atlantic 9veuuo, as proposed in &esolution No: 22 of said City is feasible
and that the public interest, convenience and necessity require the improveffient
eubstantiaSly as set forth in said report, and
WHERFAS, said City Council has found that the lands to be assessed
' will be able to stand. the burden of-the proposed assessment�
• ° �70W, T1�REFORE, BE IT HESOLPED, by the City Council of the City
of I�*nwood as follows:
.. ' SECTION 1: That in the opinion o£ the City Council of the City
. of Lynwood; the public interest and co�enience require and it is the
intention of said City Council to order the following work, or improvement, "
, to be done, to—wit:
The construction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary serrers, including
house' connection; manholes and all incidental and appurtenant work in
portions of the £ollowing street and alleys:
San I,uis Avemze between the westerly prolongation of the southerly
line of the firat alley northerly of Imperial Highway and a line 200 feet
northerly therefrom and parallel therewith; -
The first alley northerly of Imperial Highway between a line 60 ,
Peet westerly of and parallel to the westerly line of San Miguel Avemie
and the easterly line of San Luis Avemze; and '
The first a.11ey easterly of Atlantic Avemie betti*eexi the southerly
line o£ Cortland Avemte and a line 72S feet sautherly therefrom and parallel
therewith includii�g portions of Cortland Avemze lying between the northerly
prolongations of the easterly and westerly lines of said alleg.
� Al1 0£ the said work or improvement shall be performed in the
public ways and between the limits hereinbefore designated eacept where the
plans indicate that said work shall be omitted.

That all of the work or improvement aforesaid shall be done a�3.
performed in accordance with and to the grades shovru on Blans and Specifica-
tions No. 1949-&-Z on £ile itt the office of the City Clerk of said City.
Said plans are hereby referred to for a fli.7.1 and complete description of
said proposed work and for the'grades to which the work is to be done and
, said Plans and Specifications ara by re£erence made a part hereof and shall
�o.vern for all details of the propoaed work or improvement.
That the estimated cost of said work� or improvement, is the
: sum of Four Thousand and Eighty-Rine Dollara ($4,089.00).
SECTION 2:
That said contemnlated work or i.mprovement, in the opinion of
- said City Council is of more than local or ordinary public benefit anri said
, City Cov,n�il hereby determinea and deelarea that the district to be bene-
£ited by said work, or improvement, and to be aesessed to pay the costs and
expenses of such work or improvement, ia shown on Plan No..1949-&•3 on file
in the office of the City Clerk of said city and to which refereace is
hereby made £or a fnll and complete deacription of the asseasment district.
� sECmiox 3 : The City,Council hereby determines axid declares that
aerial bonds shall be issu.ed in the manner a.nd £orm provided in Diviaion 7

of the Streeta and Highways Code cited as the ��3mprovement Act o£ 1911,°
as amended, bearing intereat at the rate of sis per centvm per annum to,
represent each assessment of twenty five dolla,rs ($25.00) or over, remain.-
•, ing unpaid for thirty days after the date o£ the warrant. .Said serial
�
bonds ahall eatend over a period ending nine years from the second day of
Jam�ary neat succeeding the�next October fifteenth following their date.
Said bonde and interest thereon shall be paid at the office o£ the City
Treasurer and the same shall be disbursed by him, all as provided in the
' said ��Improvement Act of 1911,n as amended.
SECTION 4; Notice is hereby given that the provisions of that
aertain act of the Legislature of the State of California designated as the
. Streets and Highwaya Code Division 4, cited as the nSpecial Assessment
Investiga.ti.on Limitation and Ma3ority Protest Act of i931,�' as amended,�
� have heretofore been fully complied with and aII the reports required under
the provisions of said Act are on file in the office o£ the City Clerk of
said City, open to'public inspection, and may there be eaamined by all

SECTION 5: The proceedings for the aYoresaid work, or iunprovement,
shall be teken nnder an dct o£ the Legislature of the State o£ California
designated as the Streets and High�aays Code Division 7 cited as the °Improve-
ment 6ct of 1911,° and amendments thereto.
SECTION 6: The City Engineer is hereby directed to make a diagram
of the property af£ected or bene£ited by said proposed work or improvement as
described herein and to be assessed to pay the coats and expenses of said
work� showing eaeh separate lot, place or parcel of land and the relative '
location of the same to the work or improvement proposed to be done, all
within the limits of said assesament district.
SECTION 7: The City Engineer, mho is the Superintendent of Streets,
is liereby directed to post notices of the p o£ this &esolution in
the time� £orm� and manaer required by lacv.
SECTION 8: Notice is hereby given that on '14�eaday� the 18th day '
of October, 194�j, at the hour of 8 o►clock p.m. in the Council Chambers in
the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, in tho City of I,ynwood. any and all persons
having any ob�ections or protests to said proposed work or improvement, or to
the eatent o£ the diatrict to be assessed or to the gradea to which the work
is proposed to be dona, m:..y appear before said City Council and show cause why
eaid proposed work or improvement should not be carried out in accordance
with this Resolution.
SECTION 9: The City Clerk ahall certify to the passage o£ tkiie
Resolution by the City Council of said City of Lynwood and cause the same to
be published twice'in the Lymvood Press, a weekly newspaper piiblished and
c3rculated in said City and Hereby designated by said City Covncil for the
purposes aforesaid. Said Clerk is also directed to mail notices of tha
� adoption of this Resolution of Iatention in the time, form, and ma.nner, and
to the persons, all as provided in said °Improvement Act o£ 1911,° as amended.
