Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Lynwood,
California, as followe:
WHEREAS, purauant to an Act of the Legislature oP the
State oP California, approved April 24, 1937, and known as the "Labor
Code," the City Council of the City of Lynwood Se required to aecer-
tain the general.prevailin� rate of per.diem wagea and the general
prevailing� rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate
of per diem wages for legal holidays and overtime work, in this
locality, for each craft or type of laborer, workman or mechanic
needed to execute the contract Por furniehing and deliverin� certain
materials and auppliea in connection avith the improvement of that� I
propertv by the construction of curba, guttera, driveway approaches

and sidewalks in the atreeta and alleye in the City oP Lynwood,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, deacribed as follows:

between the northerly line of Imperial Highway and the aoutherly
line of Abbott Road;

betvreen the northerly line of Imperial Highway and the southerly
line of Lot 1 of Upston Tract as ahown on Map recorded in Book 11,
Page 174 of Mapa, Records of Los Angeles County, California, and

between the northerly line of Imperial Highway and the prolonged

offiae of the City Clerk of the said City of Lynwood.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
doea hereby resolve ae follovra:
� Section 1: The City Council of the Citjr of Lynwood does
hereby ascertain and determine that the general prevailing rate of
per diem wagea, in the locality in which eaid work, or ir�provement,
ie to be done, for each craft or type of laborer, workman or mechanic
needed to execute the contract for furniahing and delivering certain
materials and suppliea in connection with the improvement of that
property herein above described in Pro�ect No. 1947B, in accordance
with Plane and Specificationa No. 1947B, on file in the offlce of
the City Clerk of said City, is ae followe, to-u�it:

Apprentices -- may be employed in conformity with Section 1777.5
of the California Labor Code.
Section 2: The City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby aseertain and determine that the general prevailin� rate of
per diem wages for each craft or type of laborer, workman or mechanic
herein apecified.
Section 3: The general prevailing rate of per diem wages
provided herein ia based upon a working day of eight (8) hours, and
in the event laborers, workmen or mechanice are employed less than
� elght (8) hours per day, the per diem wages for auch employment
shall be deemed to be that fraction of said rate that the number of
hours of employment bears to elght (8) days.' ,
