INSTALLATION OF AN ORNAMENTAL STREET LIGHTING

�RESOLUTIOPI OVERRULING PROTESTS AND DETERPd2NING
' THAT THE CITY COUNCIL HAS ACQUIRED JURISDICTIOIQ
TO ORDER THE PROPOSED WORK OR IMPROVF1t4ENT.
�YHEREAS, said City Council did, on the 6th day of ApriT,
1948, adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 2103 to order the improve-
ment of Atl.antic Avenue b� the construction and inatallation of an
ornamental street lighting s.ystem; and
WHERyAS, Tuesday the 4th day of Niay, 1948, at tize hour of
8:00 o'clock P. M. at the Council Chambers in the City Hall, in said
City of Lynwood, was tne time and place set in said Resolution of
Intention, when and where any ob,Jectiona to the proposed work or im-
provement, or to the extent of the district to be asaessed, or to
the grades to which the work was proposed to be done, would be heard �
by said City Council; and _
1VHEREAS, the City Clerk of said City has heretofore preaented
and filed an affidavit of publication of said Resolution of Intention,
shovring that the same vaas publlshed according to la�a; and
WHEREAS, said City Clerk ha� also preaented and Piled hia
afPidavit of mailing notices of the adoption of eaid Resolution of
Intention in the time, form and manner, and to the persons, all as pro-
vided by an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, desig-
nated as Diviaion 7 of the Streets and Hi�;hways Code, and cited as the
"Improvement Act of 1911", and amendments thereto, and
V7HERr.AS, the City Engineer-Superintendent of Streets has
heretofore presented and filed an aPfidavit showing that notices of
the passage oP said Resolution of Intention have been posted in the
manner provided by said Act; and
�VFIEREAS, at eaid hearing held on the 4th day of n4ay, 1948,

no proteats were filed against any of the things proposed to be
done under �aid.Resolution of Intention.
NOYV, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Coun�il of the
City of Lyn�ood that s21d City Council has acquired full �uriadiction
to order tne proposed work or improvement.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4th day of Aday, 1948.
