RESOLUTION ORDERING THE WORK AND DIRECTITdG CITY CLERK.TO GIVE NOTICE INVITING BIDS. � Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Lynv�ood as follovrs: Section 1: In the opinion of said City Council, the public interest and convenience reQuire, and said City Council having acquired ,jurisdiction so to do, the following work or impr.ovement is hereby � ordered to be done, to-wit: the construction of cement concrete side- walks in certain portions of the westerly side of Atlantic Avenue be- ttveen the southerly line of Sanborn Avenue and the aoutherly line of Shirley Avenue including portions of intersecting streets. Section 2: All of the work or improvement aforesaid shell be done as contemplated in Resolution of Intention No. 2108 of the City Council of said City, to which reference is hereby made for further particulara. Section 3. Said proposed work, or improvement, in the.opinion of said City Council, is of more than local or ordinary public benefit and said City Council hereby determines and declares that the district to be benefited by said a�ork and improvement, and to be assessed to pay the entire costs and expenses thereof is particularly described in.Resolution of Intention No. 2108. Reference is hereby made to said � Resolution of Intention and to Plan No. 1948-B-2 for further particulare as to the extent of the assessment diatrict. 3ection 4: The proceedin�s for the aforesaid �vork or im- provement shall be had and taken under an Act of the Le�islature oY the State of California designated the Streets and Highways Code, Division 7, and cited as the "Improvement Act of 1911", and amendments • thereto. -1- � Seetion 5o The City Coancil herebv determinee and declares that serial bonds ahall be.iasued in the form and manner'provided in . said aforementioned Act, bearin� interest at the rate of six (6) per centum,per annum to represent each assessment of twenty-five {�25.00) or over, remaining unpaid for thirty days after the date of warrant, Said serial bonds shall extend over a period ending nine years from � the second day of Jaruary next succeeding the next October 15th following their date. Said bonds and interest thereon shall be paid - at the.effice of the City Treasurer of said City and shall be disbursed by him, all as provided in said Act. Section 6t The City Clerk shall poat and cause to be pub- lished a zotice inviting sealed proposals or bids for doin� the above described work or improvement in the time, Porm and manner required by law.
