A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF JUNE 7, 2022, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
TO REZONE 2480 HIGHWAY 6 NW (TIFFIN WEST) FROM R -1E TO R-1 B, R-1 D, R-2
AND C -2B, IN THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA
Whereas, The City recognizes a request from GHS Development to rezone 2480
Highway 6 NW (Tiffin West) from R-1 E (Estate Family) to R-1 B (Single -Family, Medium
Density, R-1 D (Single -Family, High Density) R-2 (Two -Family) and C -2B (Community
Business District) in Tiffin, Iowa, and,
Whereas, the rezoning exhibit of the property is attached to this resolution; and,
Whereas, the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval of the rezoning
on a 3-0 vote at its May 11, 2022 meeting.
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to set the
date of public hearing for June 7, 2022, to discuss the rezoning of the property located
at 2480 Highway 6 NW.
On the 17th day of May, 2022, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Orris introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2022-049, A RESOLUTION
SETTING THE DATE OF JUNE 7, 2022, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO REZONE
2480 HIGHWAY 6 NW (TIFFIN WEST) FROM R-1 E TO R-1 B, R-1 D, R-2 AND C -2B,
IN THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by
Councilperson Schnedler.
Ayes: Orris, Schnedler, Havens.
Nays: None.
Absent: Limkemann, Olney.
Whereupon three Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2022-049, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE
OF JUNE 7, 2022, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO REZONE 2480 HIGHWAY 6 NW
(TIFFIN WEST) FROM R-1 E TO R-1 B, R-1 D, R-2 AND C -2B, IN THE CITY OF TIFFIN,
IOWA to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature
thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 17th day of May, 2022.
