RESOLIITION REQULSTING ALLOCATION OF STAT� FUNDS
Wf�'REAS, the State of California, under Chapter 20� S},atutes oY 1946
(Extra Session)� as amended, has appropriated funds for allotment to provide for
Yinancial assistance to local agencies, defined therein as caunties, cities and
counties or cities, so that they may engage in a large putilic xorks program
in order to prevent and alleviate unemplopment; and
WHEEtEAS� the City of I�wood desires to applp for an aliotment af
State aid for the construction of a public works project under said Act; and
YfIIEREAS� an application to the State Director of Finance for such
allotment has been prepared and presented to the City Council of the City oY
Iyxnvood for consideration; and
W2�REAS, the City Council of the City of I has made provision
for paying t2�at portion af the cost oP the project not requested as an allotmem
from the State, .
NCPi�I THEREFORE B� IT kFSOLVED that the City Council of the City oY
Lymvood aubmit the aforesaid application for State sid f or the constnaction oY
a public Morks project to the virector o£ Finance requesting an allotment af
Twenty-Three Thousand One Hundred Sixty-tiine and no/100 Dollars (�23,169.00)
or an allotment of euch amount as may be allotted by the State Allocation Board;
BE IT FURTNER RESOLVED that the City Council the City of Lyx�rood
hereby certified that the total estimate of the cost to be paid for the con-
struction of the Bullis Road Relief Extension Trunk, for which said city is
making the application under said Act, is Forty-Six Thousand Three Hundred
Thirty-FS.ght and no/100 Dollars ($46
' BE IT FURTHER RESOLVID that the City Council of the City af Lymvoai
hereby requests the State to pay the State�s share of the total actual cost
oY the construction aP the project for which said city is making application
for aid; '
� BE IT FURTHER 2tESOLVED that Por the purpose of this request�
A. J. Bateman, City Engineer� City Hall� LyrDrrood� be and ha is hereby designated
as the authorized agent of the City of Iyrnvood and is hereby authorized and
directed to ai� the herein mentioned application of said city and to submit the
sacie to the State Director oY Finance, together with the certified stateu,ent of
the total estinated cost to be paid for construction of the project herein
mentioned, and such other information as may be required; and said authoriaed
agent is further authorized and directed as representative of said city to
conduct all negotiations and conduct all arrangements xith either the State
Allocation Board or the Director of Finanee, includint; requests for payment of
the State�s share of the coat of the constructi� of the aforementioned public
works project.
