� rHEHF.AS, pursuant to the provisions of Sections 1770 to 1781�
both inclusive, of the Labor Code of the State of California, the City Council
af the City of I,yrsrood is required to ascertaln the general prevailing rate oY per .

� N�"J THEREFORE� the City Council of the City of Lyrurood does hereby
resalve as. follows:
That said City Council dces hereby asces•tain and determine that the
general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in erhich said work or
iag�rove:aent is to be done Yor each craft or type af laborer, xoxianan or mecharric
needed to execute the contra¢t for the doi.ng of the eork hereinabove described is

FORF�LAN — All Foremen not herein separately classified shall be paid '
not less than $1.40 per day more than the journeyman rate for the craft invalved.

Provided that.not less than one and one-half times the prevailing
rate ahall be paid Yor any working time more than eight hours during an�Y one
calendar day, and for time on Saturdays, Sundays and the aeven legal halidays,
to-�its New Year�s Day, �&emorial Fourth,of July� Labor Day, Armiatice
Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.
Prwided that notwithstaruling the general prwision contained
herein, Flagmen, Guards and Y�atchmen shal]. be paid one and one-half times the

prevailing rate for overtime (overtime shall be time worked in exceas of eight
hours per day or f orty houra per xeek)� and the straight prevailing rate for time
worked on Saturdays, Sundays and holid$ys xhere such time does not constitute
avertime.
The foregoing prevailing wage schedule is based upon a working day
af eight haurs �d in the event that laborers, workmen or mechanics are employed
less than eight hours per day, the rate of per diem wages skiall be deemed to be
that fraction of the foregoing rates that the number of hours oP emplayment
bears to eight. '
The rate of compensaticn for a�y classification not listed in the
schadule� but which may be required to execute the proposed xork, shall be
cc�mensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar and comparable
classificat3on or for those performing similar or comparable duties.
