RESOLUTION OF IDITENTION IN THE MATTER OF THE
- IMPROVEP+IEidT OF NORTON AVENUE IN TfIE CITY OF
LYIV�POOD BY THE CONISTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEL4ER8,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Division 4 of the
Streeta and Highways Code, cited as the '�Special Asaessment Inveati-
gation Limitation and P•fa,Jority Proteat Act of 1931", the City Couneil
oP the City of Lynwood has determined that the improveaent of Norton
Avenue, as proposed,in Resolution Ido. 2145 of said City ie feasible
and that the public interest, convenience and necesaity require the
im�rovement aubstantially aa aet forth in said report, and
�t�IEREAS, said City Council has found that the landa to be
aesesaed'vrill be able to atand the burden of the proposed asseasment,
NO��, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council oP the
City of Lynwood as followe:
Seetion 1: That in the opinion of the City Gouncil of the
City oP Lymrood the public intereet and convenience require and it is
the intention of said City Councll to order the following work, or
improvemerit, to be done, to-wit:
The construction oP vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewers
including house connections and`manholes, together witn all incidental
and appurtenant work in Norton Avenue between the center line oP
�California Avenue and the southwesterly line of Century Boulevard.
All of eaid work or improvement shall be performed in the
public waye and between the limits hereinbefore designated escept
where the plana indicate that eaid work shall be omitted:
That all of the work or improvement aforesaid ehall be done
and performed in accordance with and to the grades shown on Plana and
apecifications No. 1948-F-2 on file in the office of the City Clerk
of said City. Said plane are hereby referred to for a Yull and com- '
plete description oP said propoaed work and for the grades to tiahich ,
the work is to be done and eaid plana and epecificationa are by rePer-
ence made a part hereof.and shall govern Por all details of the pro-
�osed work. �

� That the eatimated cost of said work or improvement is the ,
sum of Four Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-six and Forty One-hundredths
Dollars ( �$4�, 666.40 ) . -
� Section 2: That said contemplated caork or improvement, in
the opinion oP said City Council:is�of more than local or ordinary
public benefit, and said City Council hereby determines and deelarea
that the distriet to be benefited by said work, or improvement, and
to be asseased to pay the costs.and expenaes oi euch ��ork or improvement,
is ahown on Plan No. 19�8-F-3 on file in the office oP the City Clerk
. of said City to which reference 3s hereby made for a full and complete
deecription oP the aseesanent district.
Section 3: .The City Council hereby determines and deolarea
- that serial bonda shall be isaued in the manner and form provided in
Division 7 of the 5treets and Highways Code cited as the "Improvement
Act of 1911", as amended, bearing interest at the rate oP six per
centum per annum to repreaent each asseasraent of twenty-five dollara
(�2�.00) or over,, remaining unpaid £or thirty days after the date o,P
the warrant. Said serial bonds ahall ex'Gend over a period ending
nine years from the second day of January next succeeding the next
. October Pifteenth Pollowing their date. Said bonds and interest thereon
� shall be paid at the ofPice of the Cit� 7'reasurer and the eame shall
.be disbursed by him, all ae provided in the said °Improvement Act of
1911°, as amended.
Section 4: Notice is hereby given tnat the provisions.of
that certain act of the Legislature oP the State of CaliPornia des-
ignated as the Streeta and Highiaaya Code Aivision 4, cited as the
"8pecial Asaeasment Inveatigation Linitation and Ma,jority Protest Act
of 1931", as amended, have heretoEore been fullq complied with and all
the repprts required under the provisions of said Act are on f ile in
the office of the City Clerk of said City, open to public inspection,
and ma,y there be examined by all intereated persons.• .

Section 5: The proceedinga for the aforesaid �aork, or im-
provement, shall be taken under an Act of the Legislature of the 9tate
of California deaignated as the Streete and fiighways Code Division 7
cited as the "Improvement Act of 1911'�, and amenclmente thereto.
Section 6: The City Engineer is hereby directed to make a
diagram of the property affected or benefited by said proposed work or
improvement as deacribed herein and to be asseesed to pay the coste
and expenses of said work, ahowing each aeparate lot, plaoe or parcel
of land and the dimenaions of each such lot, piece or parcel of land
and the relative location of the same to the work, or improvement pro-
� posed to be done, all within the limita of said assessment diatrict.
Section 7: The City Engineer, who is the Superintendent of
Streeta, is hereby directed to post noticea of the passage oP thia
Reaolution in the time, form, and manner required by law.
3ection 8: Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the 16th
day oP November, 19U8, at the hour of 8:00 o�clock P. M. at the
Council Chambers in the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, in the City oP
.Lynwood any and all persons having any ob�ectione or protests to eaid
propoeed work or improvement, or to the extent of the district to be
asaessed or to the gradea to which the work is proposed to be done,
may a:opear beYore said City Council and show cause why said proposed
� work, or improvement, should not be carried out in accordance taith thia
Resolution.
Section 9� The City Clerk shall certify to the paseage of
thia Resolution by the City Council of said City of Lynwood and cause
the same to be publiahed tvrice in the Lynwood Press, a weekly newapaper
published and circulated in eaid City and hereby deaignated by said
City Council for the purposes aforesaid. Said Clerk is also directed
to mail notices oP the adoption of this Resolution of Intention in the
time, Por�, and manner, and to the persons, all as provided in said
