Be it reaolved by the City Council of the City of LyneJOOd,
as follo�.*s:
UTHEREAS, it has cos7e to tne attention of the "City Council
of the City of Lynwood, by evidence offered in tiiat behalf, tnat on
certain lots oP land in said City there exiats dry anc3 drying weeds
t•.*hicn dry and drying gr�.ss on such lots causes great damagea to houses
and atructures in said Lynwood from fire and corstitutes a public
nuisance, an� that such public nuisance should at once be abate@ under
the provisions of an act of Legielature of the State of California,
approved M.ay 26, 1915, Statutes 1915, Page 8�1, as said act is amended,
which eaid act is entitled: "An act authorizing Municipalities to
declare noxious or dangerous weeda gro�lring upon the streeta or side-
walks or upon rorivate property within municipalities, to be a public
.nuisance, creating a lien upon the property fronting upon lahich such
nuisance exista for the cost of abating the same," which act 4aas
approved May 26, 197-5•

dry and drying �eeds on ezch of eaid lots to be a public nuisance,
a.nd it is hereby ordered that such nuisance be abated under the terms
of that certain Act oi the Legislature of the State of California
aboire e!entioned, as anended, and the 5treet Superintendent of the
Gity of I,ynwood is• di.rected to cause notices to be given and poated
iahich are necessary to be given and poated as req_uired by said 9ct,
arid this Council hereby fixes the 19th day of April, 1949, at 8:00
o'clock P.'Pd. at the Council Cha,mber of the City Council of said City,
located at 11331 Plaza Street, in said City of Lyntirood, as the tiu�e
and place of hearing all proteats.to the abatement of said nuisancea
Urhich may be made in the premisea.
