RFSOLUTiON OF INTINTION IN THE M,ATTrR. Or^ THE
I�PROVr'�viENT OF PE'�]DLETO� 9VENUE IN THE CITY
OF LYIJI"TOOD B'S THE COIQSTRUGTIdN OF CURBS, GUTTERS,
AND SIDDh'ALKS.
WHEPI�AS, pursuant to the provisions of Division 3 0£ the
Streets and Highways Code� cited as the �Special Assessment Irrvestigation
Li�.tation and �$ajority Protest Act of 1931", the City Council o£ the
City of Lynwood has determined that the improvement of Pendleton Avenue
, as,proposed in Resclution No. 2181 of said City is feasible and that the
public interest� convenience and necessity require the imp: wement sub-
stantially as set forth in said report, and
4YHEREAS, said City Council has found that the lands to be
assessed will be able to stsnd the burden o£ the proposed assessrent�
NOCd, TI-�REFORE, BE IT H.ESOLVID, by tne City Council of
the'City of Lyrnaood as fo]1ows:
Secticn 1: That in the opinion o£ the City Council of
the City o£ I�ynwood the public interest and convenience require and it is
the intention of said City Councii to order the following work� or improve-
ment� to be done, to-c:it:
The censtruction of cement concrets curbs, cement eone*ete gutters,
and ce�nt concrete sidewalks, together ivith all incidental and appurtenant
work in Pendletnn Avenue betvreen the produced center line of Elm Avenue
(as Elm Avenue exists southerly of Pendleton Avernxe) and the center line of
t1t3;antic Avenue;.
Rll of the said Mork or improvement shall be perforiaed in the
public ways and betti+een the limits hereinbefcre designated except where the
plans indicate that said work shall be anitted.
That a7.1 of the work or iraprovement a£oresaid shall be done
and performed in accordance with ann to thz grades shov.m.on Plans and �peci-
fications :10. 191�9-A-2 on file in the office c£ the Cit� Clerk o£ said City.
Said plans are hereby referred to £or a full and cemplete description c£ said
proposed work and for the grades to which the work is tc be done and said
Plans and Specifications are by refc-rence made a part hereof and shall govern

si� o£ Three Thousand Seven flundred Fort3-Four pollars ($3,71�.00).
Section 2: That said contemplated wcrk or improvement, in the .
opinion of said City C wncil is of more than local,aru3 public benefit and
said City Council hereby determinee and declares that th° dis+ric+ to be bene-
fitted by said Y7crk, or impr wement� and to be assessed to pay the costs and
expenses of such work or impr wement, is shown on Plan A?o. ly(t9-n-3 on file
in the office of the City Clerk o£ said city and to vahich reference is hereby
made for a full and complete description of the assessment district.
Section 3: The City Council hereby determines and declar.es
that serial bonds shall be issued in the manner a.nd £orm provided in the
Ilivision 7 0£ the Streets ar.d Highvrays Code cited as the "Imprcvement Act of
, 1911�� as amen3ed, bearing interest at ths rate o£ six per centun per annum
to p represent ea.ch assessment of ttiventy-£ive dollars (�p25•00) or over, :emain-
ing unpaid for ti'iirty days after the da�e o£ the vrarrant. Said serial bonds
shall extend over a period endir� nina years from the second day of Januaxy
neact succeeding the next Cctober fifteenth f�llowing their date. Said bonds
aud interest the:eon shall be paid at the office of the Citf Treasurer and the
same shall be disbursed by him, all as provided in the said �Irrprovement Act
of 1911°� as amended.
Section !�: Notice is hexeby p.ven that the prwisions of that .
certain act of the Legislature o£ the State of Califorilia designated as the
Streets and Highways Code Division Lt� cited as the "Special Assessment Irivestiga-
P tion Limitation and R�2jority Protest Act of 1931m, as amended� have heretofore
I been fully co;nplied with and all the reports required under the provisions of

said Act are on £ile in the office o£ the City Cl�rk of said City� open to
public inspection, and may there be examined by all interested persons.
Section s: The proceedings for the aforesaid �'rork, or iv�prove-
ment� shall be taken under an Act of the Legislature of the State of Califoriiia
designated as the Si;reets and �U ghways Code Dlvision 7 cit�d as the °Improverrsnt
Act of 1911"� and amendments thereto.

Section 6: The City Engineer is hereby directed to make a
of the property affected oi bene£ited by said proposed work or improvement as
, describe� herein and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses ef said �7ork�
showing each separate lo�;• place or parcel o£ land �id the relative location
of the same to the work,or improvement proposed to b° done, all within the li.mits
of said assessment district. � �
Section 7: The.City �ngineer, who is the Superintendent of
Streets, is hereby directed to post notices of the passage of this Resolution
in the time, forn, and manr.er required by lava.
Section 8: Plctice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the '.5th
day of Ap�y�,191�9, at the hour of 8 o�clock p.m. in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall� 11331 Plaza Street, in the City of Lyrnrcod, an;�r and all
persons having a� cbjections or protests to said proposed work or improvement,
or to the e�tent of the district to be assessed or to the grades to v:hich the
work is proposed to be done, may appear before said City Council and show cause
why said proposed wor:c, or improvement, should not be carried out in accordance
with this Resolution.
Section 9: The Cit�T Clerk shall certify to the passage o£ this
Resolution by the Oity Council of said City of Lyrnrood an3 cause the same to
be publishe3 twice in the Lynwood Press, a. weekly newspaper published and
circulated in said City and hereby designated bf:said City Council for the
purposes a£oresaid. Said Clerk is also directed to mail notices oF the adoption
o£ this Resolution cf Intencion in the time� for�a� and manner, and to the
persons, all as provided in said �Imi�royement Act o£ 1911m as amended.
