RESOLliTION N0. 2199
IN THE MATTER OF THE PROPOSED I2fiPROVEMENT OF
PENDLETON AVENUE BY THE CONSTRUCTIOPI OF CURBS,
GUTTERS, AND SIDEWALKS.
AESOLUTIOiV OVERRULING PROTESTS AND DETERMINING
THAT TFIE CITY COUNCIL HAS ACQUIRED JURISDICTION
TO ORDER THE PAOPOSED WORK OR II�iPROVET•iENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council oP the City oP LynFrood did, on the
15th day of Maroh, 19�9, adopt its Resolution oP Intention No. 2197
ordering the improvement of Pendleton A venue between the produced
ce nter line of Elm Avenne (as Elm Avenue exists southerly of Pendleton
Avenue) and the center line oP Atlantic Avenue by the conatruction of
cement concrete curba, cement concrete sidevaalka and cement concrete
guttera, and ,
WI-IEREAB, Tuesday the 5th da.y of April, 194g at the hour of
8:00 o�clock P. M. at the Gouncil Ghambere:in the City Hall, in s�id
City of Lynwood, was the time and place aet in said Resolution oP Ir�
t�ntion when and where any objections to the,.propoaed work or improve-
ment, or to the ex�Gent of the district to be assesaed, or to the gradee
to which the work waa proposed to be done, would be heard by said City
Council; and
1�iHEREAS, the City Clerk oP said City hae heretofore preaented
anci filed an affidavit of publication of sald Resolution of Intention,
showing that the same was publiehed according to law; and
ti4fiF,REAS, said City Clerk has also presented arid filed hia
affida.vit oP mailing notices of the adoption of said Reaolution oY In-
tention in the time, form and manner, and to the persons, all as pro-
vided by an Act of the Legisla.ture of the 5tate of Galifornia, desig-
nated as Division 7 of the 3treets and Highways Code, and cited as the
"Improdement Act of 1911", and amendments thereto, and
, ti+1IIEfiEAS, the City Engineer-Superintendent oP Streets has
heretofore preaented and filed an affida.vit showing that notices of
the passage of eaid Resolution of Intention have been posted in the
ma.nner provided,by said Act; and '

WHEREAS; at said hearing held on the $th day of April,
194°, no proteate were Piled againat any.of the thinge proposed to
be done under Resolution.oP Intention No: 219�.
NOtiV, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Lynwood, that the said City Couneil has acquired full Suria—
diction to order the proposed work or improvement.
ADOPTED and APPROVED thie 5th day of April, 19�9
