CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.2011-86
RECOGNIZING AND THANKING JEANNE DAY FOR HER SERVICE AS FINANCE
DIRECTOR TO THE CITY OF MEDINA
WHEREAS, Jeanne Day has served as the Finance Director for the City of Medina from
March 8, 2006 through September 9, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Jeanne has, as the first Finance Director of Medina, created a professional and
competent Finance Department staff by implementing processes and procedures into daily
operations; and
WHEREAS, during Jeanne's service as Finance Director significant City projects have
been accomplished including:
• the creation of financial management policies/procedures on fund balance, payment
plans, investments, purchasing, credit cards, capitalization, special assessments, red flag,
travel, and the direct payment plan promotional rebate program
• the implementation of a financial management plan
• the enhancement of the City's Capital Improvement Plan
• the preparation and management of the City's annual budgets
• the creation of a storm water utility
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Medina
recognize and thank Jeanne Day for her service as Finance Director in a manner which will leave
a lasting positive impact on the City.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Martinson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
