Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Lynwood,
California, as follows:
'iJ_H�;REAS, pursuant to an Act of the Legislature of the
State of California, approved April 24, 1937, arid known as the "Labor
Code," the City Council of the Cit,y of Lynwood is.required to ascertain
the �eneral prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevail-
, ing rate of per diem wages for legal holidays and overtime work_, in
this locality, for each craft or type of laborer, wor�nan or mechanic
needed to execute the contract for furnishin� and delivering certain
� materials and supplies in connection with the improvement of that
property by the construction of curbs, gutters, sidewalks in3tfie9_ve
streets in the City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles, State of Califor-
nia, described as follows: � :
Beginning at the intersection of the center lines
of Bullis �oad and I:4orton Road, thence southerly
along the center line of Bullis Road to a point
of intersection with the northerly boundary of
the Pacific Electric right-of-vray, thence south-
easterly along the north boundary of the a�Bore-
mentioned ri�ht-of-vray to a�oint of intereection
of the center line of Ernestine Avenue, thence
northerly along the cer_ter line of Lrnestine
Avenue to a point of intersection with the center
line of an alley lging between Niorton Road on the
north and Fernv��ood P_venue on the south, thence •
southeasterly along the center line of Gertrude
Drive, thence northerly along the said center
• line to a point of intersection with the center
line of n2orton I2oad, thence westerly to the point .
of beginning,
in accoTdance with Plans and Specifications No. 1946A, on file in
the office of the City Clerk of the said City of Lynwood.
NOP/, THEZ2EFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby ascertain and determine that the general prevailin� rate of
per diem wages, in the locality in which said vuork, or improvement
is to be done for each craft or type of laborer, worlrnian or meche.nic,
needed to execute the contract for furnishing and delivering certain
naterials and supplies in connection with the improvement of that
property herein above described in Project TTOl 1946A, in accordance !
with Plans and �pecifications No. 1946A, on file in the office of

Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby ascertain and determine that the general prevailing rate of
per diem wages for each craft or type of laborer, worlanan or mechanic
emFloyed on legal holidays and for overtime work on said imnrovement
is one and one-half times the general prevailing rate of per diem

wages for such craft or type of laborer, worl�an or mechanic here-
in specified.
Section 3. The general prevailing rate of per diem wages
provided herein is based upon a working day of eight (8) �ours, and
in the event laborers, worl4nen or mechanics are employed less than
eight (8} hours per day, the per diem vaages for such employment shall
be deemed to be that fraction of said rate that the number of hours
of employment bears to eight (8) hours.
