CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.2011-99
RECOGNIZING JANET WHITE FOR HER SERVICE TO THE
CITY OF MEDINA ON THE MEDINA PARK COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Janet White has served as a member of the Park Commission from January
1, 2009 through November 1, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Janet White has served as Chair of the Park Commission from January 1,
2011 through November 1, 2011; and
WHEREAS, throughout Park Commissioner White's service to the City of Medina
several significant park projects have taken place including:
• Adoption of a Friends of the Park Program.
• Implementation of Uniform Park Signs.
• Construction of the Field House in Hamel Legion Park.
• Construction of the County Road 116 Trail.
• Acquisition of Tomann Preserve.
• Creation of the Hamel Legion Park Master Plan.
• Creation of a Park Study Area Plan.
• Review of OSI, Enclave of Medina, and Pemtom Land -Use Applications for Park
Dedication.
WHEREAS, Park Commission Chair White provided leadership and guidance on the
creation of the Friends of the Park Program and the implementation of various other park and
environmental improvements; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Medina
acknowledges and thanks Park Commission Chair White for her years of service to the
community.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Pederson
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Crosby, Martinson, Pederson, Siitari, Weir
And the following voted against same:
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
