AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE COPORATION FOR NATIONAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE
WHEREAS, the Corporation for National and Community Service has grant funding
available; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation of the City of Richmond, through its
RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) program has submitted a grant application in order to assist with operational expenses.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The Department of Parks and Recreation of the City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Corporation for National and Community Service in order
to assist with operational expenses for its Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
2. The Department of Parks and Recreation is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Thirty-one Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-six Dollars ($31,576.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the Department of Parks and Recreation, shall be appropriated to assist with operational expenses for RSVP.
Passed and adopted this 19th day of October, 1998, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
