OF iYN4400D, CALIFORNIA, COiQFIRh4IIVG REPORT OF
THE STREET SUPERIIdTE;NDENT IN CONNECTION WITH
THE ABATIIdENT OF DRY AND DRYING WEEDS FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1946-47 UNDER ACT 51g7 OF THE
GII�iERAL LAi�IS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AS
APIIENDED.
lVHEREA5� the City Council o� the City of Lynwood, -
California, did on the 15th day of January, 1946, adopt a Res-
olution No. 1898 relating to the abatement of dry and drying vseeds
on certain Lots of land in the City of L.ynwood under Act 5197 of
the Legislature of the 5tate of California as a�ended, which said
Resolution fixed February 15, 1946 v.�hen any and all interested
persons might appear, or submit in writing their ob,jection to
said improvement, and
1'dHEREAS, said hearing was had and held in accordance
lvith law and the 8treet Superintendent was instructed to proceed
to abate the nuisance, v�hich abatement was done as per instructiona
contained in Resolution I�TO. 1906, a.nd
1vHEREAS, the Street Superintendent has filed with the
City Council of the City of Lynwood an itemized report in writing
showin� the cost of removing such weeds on each separate Lot a.nd
has caused a copy thereof to be posted on the door of the Council
�, Chamber in the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, Lynwood, California
as required by law, and �
�A�HEREAS, hearing was duly held upon said report an'd no
r
ob,jections tivere fiZed by any of the property owners to be asseseed
for said weed abatement a.s set.forth in said Repot o£ the Street
Superintendent, and
• t'1HEREAS, it appears that Notices were posted according
to law and that the proceedings were had and taken in conforu

with the General Laws of the State of California,
NOW, THEREE'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood that the said report of the Street Superinten=
dent of the City of Lynwood be and the same is hereby confirmed
and that the amounts of the cost for abating such nuisances upon
the v�rious parcels of land as shown in said report shall and the
same do hereby constitute special assessment liens against said
respective parcels of land for the amounts set forth in the report
of said Street Superintendent, �
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the .
City of Lynwood be and he is hereby directed to turn over to the .
Tax Collector of the County of Los Angeles a copy of the report
of the Street Superintendent and said Tax Collector is hereby in-
structed to add the amounts of the respective assessments to the
,
regular bills for taxes covering fiscal year 1946-47 on the Lots
described in said report, as provided by Section 7 of said Act
5197.
