' RESOLUTION OF INTENTION; BY THE CITY COUN- `
C�L OF TfiE CITY OF LYM"100D, CALIFURDIIA, DE-
CLARING IT TO BE ITS IIdTENTION TO VACATE
ADtD ABANDON FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES THAT POR-
TION OF STOCKWELL DRIVE, HEREIPd DESCR?BED.
The City Council of the Cit,y of Lynwood.,, Ca.lifornia,
hereby resolves and ordains as follovrs:
- Section l: That that portion of Stockwell Drive lying
southerly of the southerly boundary of the right-ef-Vay of.Century
Boulevard, said portion of aforementioned street being the westerly
22,96 feet of Lots 171, 172, 173, 174, 175, 176, 177 and 178 of the
Licensed Surveyor's Map as per Book 16, Pa.ge 37 of Records of Los
° Angeles County, dediceted for public purpose, within the corpor�te
limits of the City of Lynwood, California, is unnecessary for present
or prospective public street purposee and that the public interest
• and necessity and convenience require, and the City Council of said
City hereby declares its intention to vacate and abandon that portion_
. of eaid street. -
Section 2: Th�t said. portion of-Stockwell Drive as above
described lying and being in said City of Lynwood and southerly oY
Century Eoulevard is shown:on the official map oP the City of Lynwood
at the office the Clerk oP said City to which all parties inter-
ested are referred for particulars as to the propoaed vacation and
abandonment. .
Section 3: That the City Council elects to proceed in
said vacation and_ abandonment under Sections $300 to 832.4, inclusive,
I of the Streets and Highways Code of the State o£ California, as aznended.
Section 4:. That the Cit,y. Clerk of the City of Lynwood is
hereby directed to give and posz as required_ by lar�, notice of the
passage of this Resolution of Intention and give therein the legal
descript3on of that portion of Stoek�vell Drive proposed to be vacated
_ 1_ ,
and abandoned and specif,y the time and pl�ce of hearing of this
Resolution of Intention which is hereby fixed as Pollows:
The hearing te be.before the,Ci.ty Council of the City
of Lynwood, at 11331 Plaza Street in the City Council Chamber of
the City oP Lynwood at the hour of 8 P. T�, o'clock, Auguet 6,
1946, at which tine and pla.ce all per�ons interested mav appear
and ob�ect or protest to the proposed vacation and a.bandonment of
said portion of Stockwell Drive. �
Section 5: SPter the passing and adcption of this
Resolution of Intention, the City Clerk ahall for t��rith cause
a certified copy thereof to be published once in the Lynwood Press,
a Newspaper printed and circulat in the City of Lynwood, Calif-
ornia.
� PASSED and ADOPTED at the regular June 25, 1946, meeting
