Se it resolved by theCity Council of the. City of Lynwood,
as follovrs:.

ornia, d.id on the 21st day of May, 1946, adopt a Resolut'ion No. 1960

`fixing the time and place for a hearing in the matter of Lighting. ,
N,aintei�ance Distriat No. 17 of the City of �Lynwood, and
` �`�'���5 no protests or ob,f actions bi�ere filed with .the City
Clerk objecting to the proposed improvement, the extent of the
assess�ent district and the Aaseasment therefore, and
- ' [z(HEREAS, all interested �ersons were �iven full opportunity
to present their protests or objections, and

� ti���S, evidence has been received as to the publication
and posting of notice of said hearing in the time, form'a.nd manner
` required by law,
, 1VOt"I, THEREFORE, the said City Council after due eonsider-
ation, o�' all such objections and protests, does hereby over-fule
' and deny such protests and objections and each of them to the r�ork
or improvement to be done within �aid L3�hting P;Raintenance District
as described in Resalution Dio, 1901 of said City and to the pro-
posed assessment therefore; doee hereby confirm and adopti a.s a
whole, u�unodified, the assessment and report as described in
� Resolution I�to. 1959, and
BE IT FliF,THER RrSOiVED, that the public interest atzd. con-
venience dernands and req and this Gity Council doea hereby order
the said contemplated improvement to be-made in accordance with the

plans and specifications therefor, adopted and approveci; and the
City Council does hereby levy the said propoaed assessment made
to cover the costs and expenses of said improvement upon the respec-
tive subdivision of land. in said district and as fiyed by the pro-
posed report and assessment heretofore filed in the office of the
City Clerk, �nd
BE IT FURTHER RE30LVED, that the City Clerk of the City
of Lynwood is hereby ordered to transmit to the County of Los �
Angeles Tax Collector, the di�grain and Assessment upon which such
levy ia based and said County Tax Collector is hereby authorized
and directed to make collections of all such assessments, and to
perform all the acts and dutiea as are required of said act to be
performed by the persons desi�r.ated as "Tax Collector" in Section
7,of the Street Lighting Act of 1919, as amended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the time hereby fixed for
receiving bids for the doing of said work and improvement herein
ordered is the 23rd day oP July, 1946, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock
P. R�. and the City Clerk is hereby ordered to poat and publish a
notice invitirig aealed proposals in the time, form and manner set
forth in Section 15 of said "Street Lightino Act of 1919'�, as
' amended. �
Said publicatioa s:iall be made in the Lynwood Press,
a weekly newspaper orinted and publ.ished in said City.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of July, .1946.
