The application for a Tree Removal Permit Application for 6 River Oak Lane has been returned to this office by the
Director of Public Works. Listed below are the available options for issuing the permit. Please let me know the
decision on these options so the permit can be prepared for pickup.
$50 permit fee plus...
1. Mitigate removal of 41" of oaks with the remaining 38" of oaks by placing the twin oak (13" & 17 ") and the 8"
oak into perpetual protection PLUS pay $50 per inch for the remaining 3" OR replant 3" of oaks on the lot.
2. Do not commit to placing any of the existing oaks into perpetual protection. Instead replant 41" of oaks on the
lot.
3. Pay $50 per inch for 41" of oaks being removed.
4. A combination of the maintain native tree / replanting inch - for -inch / $50 per inch options that adds up to 41-
inches.
These options may be difficult to decipher. Please let me know if you have questions and /or the decision on how the
removal of 41- inches of oak trees will be mitigated.

Jack and Jim,
The Tree Removal Application has been passed to the Public Works Director. We'II probably be getting with you
Monday or Tuesday about issuing that permit.
Plumbing subcontractor K & P Plumping is not registered with the City of Tybee Island. Please forward the attached
Contractor Registration form to K & P so they can submit pages 1 and 2, and their local and state licenses, and $20 for
this annual registration.
Page 1 of your new construction application states the Base Flood Elevation is 13 with a Design Flood Elevation of 14.
The survey from James Keaton states it is a BFE 11. I have looked at the FIRM and agree to the BFE 11 with a DFE of
12. I have changed the application. See attachment. Please let me know if you concur.

The required front setback in zone R -2 is 20 -feet. The front setback as shown on page C1.1 of the building plans and
the Keaton survey is 20 -feet. I have changed the front setback on page 1 of the application from 25 -feet to 20 -feet.
Please let me know if you agree.
Page 2 of the application show the fees for the permit as calculated thus far. Not yet known is the Engineering review
fees for the Erosion Control and Drainage. Please note there will also be an Engineering fee at the close out of this
project before a Certificate of Occupancy is issued, when the site has been accepted by the city.
The city's consulting engineer, Downer Davis, noted in the file named "2130240b2" in the attached: "FW: 6 River Oak
Ln" email, that topographic data on '88 datum is needed. I will also use those to calculate the average elevation
allowed for this lot. With a 32 -foot proposed height the 35 -foot limit will not be an issue, but I still need to calculate
it.
I will email the Water /Sewer and Public Works department heads to come review these building plans and approve if
they find them acceptable. That shouldn't take more than 1 or 2 days. We are further behind with getting the erosion
control and the drainage approved. Please resubmit those as you are able. All building and site plans must be
approved before the permit for new construction will be issued.
