IN THE MATTER OF THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF
CARSON DRIVE, ET AL, BY THE COM3TRUCTION OF
SANITARY SE4YER8 AND APPURTENANT WORK.
RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTEST3 AND DETERMINING
THAT THE CITY COUNCIL HA$ ACQUIRED JURISDICTION
TO ORDER TfiE PROPOSED WORK OR IMPROVEIdENT.
,. WHEREA3, said City Council.did, on the 23rd day of July,
1946, adopt ita Resolution of Intention No. 1984 to order the improve�
ment of portions oP Carson Drive, Benwell Drive, Stockwell Drive and
Imperial Highway by conetructing sanitary aewera and appurtenant
work, and �
WHEREAS, Tueaday the 20th day of August, 1946, at the hour
oP SS00 o�clock P. M. at the Council Chambera in the City Hall, in
eaid City of Lynwood, evas the time and place set in eaid Resolution
of Intention, when and where.any ob�ections to the proposed work or I
improvement, or to the extent of the district to be asseesed, or to I
the grades to which the work wae proposed to be done, would be heard
by said City Council; and `
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of said City hae heretofore presented
and flled an aPYidavit of publication of said Resolution of Intentlon,
showing that the same wae.publiehed according to law; and
P/HEREAS, said City Clerk hae also presented and filed hie
affidavit of mailing notices of the adoption of said Resolution of
Intention in the time, form and manner;anci to the peraona, all as
provideEt by a n Act of the Legislature of the 5tate of California,
designated a& Division 7 of the Streeta and Highways Code, and cited
as the �'Improvement Act of 1911", and amendments thereto, and
WHEREAB, the City Engineer-Superintendent of Streeta has
heretofore presented and filed an affidavit ahowing that notices oP
the passage of said Resolution of Intention have been posted in the
manner provided by said Act; and

ti`aHEREAS, no protests were filed aga.inst any of the things
?roposed to be done and seid hearing was continued to the hour of
8yQ0 o'clock P.M. on the 3rd day of September, 1946, and
- on the 20th d�.y of august, 1946 sai1 Cit,y Gouncil
c�assec? Resolution No. 1995 declaring its intention to ma?te certain
changes in the boundaries of the proposed assessment disi�rict, and
4`dHEkEAS, Tuesday the 3rd day of September, 1946, at the
hour of 8:00 o'clock P.n4. at the Council Chambers in the City Hall,
�in sa.id City of Lynwood wae the time and place set in s2.id resolution
ivhen and u�here any ob,jections to the e�tent of the a.ssessment district
�s proposed to be modified ivould be heard by said City Gouncil; and
WH�REAS, at the hour of 8:00 o�clock P.P,i. on September 3,
1946 said City Council=met and due to la.ck of a quorurn adjourned to
' the hour of 7:30 P.PR.` S'eptember 5th, 1946, and "
'NHEREAS, said Gity Clerk has #hesetofore,presented and filed
an affidevit of publication of s-=_i3 resolution No. 1995 showirig �
that the same was publiahed in the time, �orm and manner rea,uired by
lat+�; and
�VH�REAS, at said hearing held on the 5th day of September,
1946,'no prot@sts were filed against any of the,thin�s proposed to be
dcne �3nder Resolution of Intention No. 1984, and no nrotests were
' filed agalnst certa_in modifications to the asseasnent district as -
proposed un3er aforementioned Resolution Ido. 1995.
