" WHEREAS, pursuant to the nrovisinns of Sections 1770 to
1777, inclusive, of the Labor Code of the State of C�lifornia, the
City Council of the City of Lynvaood is reo,u�;red to ascertain the
general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing
rate of per diem wages for 1ega1 holidayR �nd. overtime �vork in this
locality, for eacn craft or type of laborer, workman or mechanic
needed to exectate the contract for the construction of sanita.ry
�seiqers and appurtenant work in Carson Drive, et a1, as set forth�'
in resolution of Intention No. I984 and shown on Plan No�1946-C on
file in the office of the City Clerk of sa.id City,
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lyi�v��o�d doea
hereby resolve as follows: .
It is hereby ascertained that the genera_1 ,prevailing rate
of per diem wages, a.nd. the general prevailing rate for Sa.turday,
Sunday, legal holidays and overtime vrork, for each craPt or type of
viorY.men needed to execute the pronosed contract, is as fol].oP!s,

contained herein, Flagmen, Guards, and Watchmen ahall be paid one
a.nd one-halP times the prevailing rate for overtime .(overtime shall •
be time worked in e;:cess of�eight hotsrs per day or forty hours per ,

The foregoing prevailing wage schedule is based u�on a
working day of ei�ht hours and in the event that laborers, workmen,
or mechanics are employed les� than eight hours per day, the rate
of per diem wagea sh211 be d=emed to be that fraction of the fore-
going rates that the number oP hours of employ�ent bears to eight.
� The rate of compensation for any classifica.tion not
listed in the schedule, but which may be reauired to execute the
pr000sed contract, ahall be commensurate and in �ccord uuith the
rates specified for similar and comparable classification or for
those nerforming similar or comprrable duties.
