RESOLU'i'ION TO SET FORTfi THE POLICY OF
MARING REFUNDS ON BUII.DING PERMITS AND
OTHNR PERb1ITS ISSUED BY THE BiJILUING
DEP.ART1t�NT.
WE�REAS there have been an increasin� number of req_ueats
for refund of building permit fees; and
WHEREAS it has been deemed an expense to the City to issue
a building permit and to complete papers Por refund; and
WHEREAS it is felt that those who have requeated permits
ahould share in these costs;
N0�'J Tl�REFORE BE IT BESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of I,ynwood establish t he policy of permitting refunds on all
cancelled permits iasued bq t he Building Department with the stip- I
ulation that ten percent (10�) of the permit fee shall be retained �
to aover the oost of permit issuance and reYunding, with the minimum
charge to be not less than Two Dollers (�2.00); anii
BE IT FURTF�R RESOL4ED that any permit thet is cancelled
due to the inability oP the applicant to complete his pro�ect because
of restriotions imposed upon the applicant by city ordinanoes may
receive full refund without any deduction f or egpenses incurred.
