A RESOI,UTION OF THE CITY COUIQCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYDTNOOD CALIFORNIA DESIGIvATING
GEORGE C. SHAIVNON, CIT3C N.ANAGER, AS TF�
AUTHORIZED AGENT OF THE CITY OF LYN��'i00D
TO SIGN AN APPLIGAfiI0I3 ON BEHALF' OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD FOR ONE-EiAIFr OF TF� COST
OF PREP2RING PLANS FOR POST-'�dAR PROJEGT
OF LYI�Pl�OOD RECR�.ATION AUDITORIUM.
t�NHESEAS, the State_of California under Chapter 47, Statutes
of 1944, (4th ExtTa Session) has appropriated £unds for allotment by
the Director of Finanee to provide financial assistance to Local
Agencies defined therein as counties, cities or cities and counties,
for the purpose of defraying not to exceed one--half the cost of pre-
parin� engineering field surveys, engineering or architectural
designs, attd working and deteiled drawings and specifications (here-
ina£ter called "Plans'�) required for postwar public woTks projects
described as "specifie pro,jects" in said Aet; and
V9IiEREAS, ��the City of Lynwood, hereinaPtex designated as
"Local `Agericy", 'desires to°apply - Director -of- Finance-=and/or --=-- -
the Post War Public S�lorks Review Board, as the ease may be, for,an
allotnent of the State's share of the estimated cost of preparing the
completed plans hereinafter mentioned and there has been prepared and
presented to this Legislative Body £or consideration an application

�„1HE:tEAS, Local Agency has provided, or will make available
upon approval oP the aforementianed application; sufficiant £unds to
prepare the completed plans herein mentioned;
NO?d TF�REFORE BE.IT RESOLZrED, that Local Agency submit the

aforesaid application to the Director of�Finance andfor the Post .�Tar � ;
Public P7orks Review Board, as the case may be, request�ing allotment
of Forty Five Hundred Thirty-seven and 50/100 Dollars (�4,537.50),
being not more than one-half oP the cost of preparing said completed
plans, or for auch amount as may be approved by the Director of Finance
and/or the Post t�lar Public Works Revie�v 13oard (said allotment to be

used for the purpo�e of defraying the cost of preparing said completed
plans reauired), for a specific, pro�eet to be undertaken by local
agency and deseribed as City of Lynwood Recreation Auditorium;
BE IT FDRTHER RESOLVED, that the estimated cost of preparing
sueh plans is Nine Thousand Seventy-fine Dollars (�9,075.00) and that
Local Ageney has made provision for paying one-half or more of the
cost of preparing such plans;
BE IT F[TRTHER RE50LVED, that Por the purposes of this
application, George C. Shannon, City Manager, City o£ Lynwood, be and
he hereby is designated as the authorized agent of Local Agency and is
hereby authorized and directed to sign the above-mentioned application
on behalP oP the Local Ageney and submit the same to the Director oP
Finance and/or the Post War Public Works Reniew Board together with
a certified statement of the estimated cost of preparing such plans
and such other information as may be required; and said authorized
agent is further authorized and directed as the representative of

I,ocal Agency to conduct all negotiations and conclude all arrange-
ments, including submission to the Director of Finance oP applicationa
� for reimbursement, which may be necessary to secure reimbursement for
, the StateTs share of the expenditures made in praparing said completed
plans. `
