Seton Lindsay Vice Mayor " " N. J. Clarke Town Clerk " " Wm. J. Bauer Mayor Lindsay presided, Town Clerk Bauer acted as Secretary. The Minutes of Meetings held on July 3rd, 10th, August 14th, September 11th, October 9th and sitting as Board of Equalizers from July 1 to 8th,19542 were read and upon motion, unanimously ratified and approved. The Commissioners unanimously approved payments made by checks numbered 1650 to, 1744 inclusive on the General Account and by checks numbered 5 to 16 inclusive on the Water Account. Copies of which are attached to these minutes. Town Clerk Bauer reported the following Bank Balances as of Nov- ember 12th. General Account $5,279.96 Water Department 6,676.88 Depreciation Account 2,568.04 Discussion was held on having an Engineer furnish the Town with a map of the Coast within the Town Limits, showing present bulk- ; :► heads, groynes, high and low water markings, for the purpose of planning a Bulkhead line in the future. It was voted to have a Mr. Ben Herr of West Palm Beach, Florida draw such a map at a cost of $150.00. Another bid for a similar map had been received from George S. Brockway at a cost of $250.00 The Commissioners approved the payment of a bill in the amount of $190.00 rendered by Jack E. Carver, Inc., for repairing portion of Oleander Way Street, such work having been authorized by Mayor Lindsay. Tow bids were received and discussed, for the repair of several other roads in Town. A bid of $827.00 by Jack E. Carver,Inc., was accepted. The other bid by W.J.Snow was for the amount of $897.00 A description of work bid on to be attached to these minutes. A request from Mr. Pierre L. Bailly to have his 1954 assessed valuation reduced inasmuch as the Ocean has washed away a great deal of his Ocean Front Property, was carefully discussed and considered, and it was then RESOLVED that in view of the County reducing the valuation of Mr. Bailly's Ocean Front property within the Town of Gulf Stream that we amend our Tax Roll to conform with the County Tax Rol for the year and reduce Mr. Bailly's assessed valuation from "$61,520.00 to $49,220.00 t a 0 (L MW W Q Z Q C II0 V V^ ( Cb 4. Item #1: We propose to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to patch, re -oil with semi -solid Asphalt and surface with Grey Birmingham Slag, that portion of Banyan Road from Gulf Stream Road to a point about thirty (30) feet east of Oleander Way for a cost of $105.00 �< ' Item #2: To furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to patch, and re- oil with semi -solid Asphalt, and cover with a layer of Grey Birmingham Slag that portion of Middle Drive extending from Gulf Stream Road to the first alley toward the West for a cost of $ 80.00 �1 Item #3s To widen Lake View Drive two (2) feet on either side from Gulf Stream Road to Polo Drive. Construction is to be the same as that of the existing pavement which is six (6) inches of compressed rock surfaced with a cost of semi -solid Asphalt, covered with a layer of Grey Birmingham Slag. The cost for this is $186.00 Item #4s. To scarify and raise with new rock that portion of Gulf Stream Road from Lake View Drive to approximately 300 feet North, construction to be the same as that quoted in Item #3. Also to patch all holes along Gulf Stream Road with plant -mix Asphalt.
