A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNtN00D, CALIFORNIA, PASSING UP�N OBJECTIONS, AND
DIRECTING.THE STREET SUPERIA�TENDENT TO ABATE THE
WEED NUI$A.NCE THAT-r3CIST3 ON VACANT LOTB IN THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD.
� Be it resolved by the Cit,y Council of the City of Lynwood,
as follows:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood, C�,lif-
ornia, did on the 7th day of January, 1947, adopt Resolution No.
2020 relating to the abatement of dry and drying weeds on certain
, lots in the City of Lynwood, and
WHEREA3, due notice was �iven to destroy such weeds by
postin�r "iVOtice to Deetroy Weeds" noti ces at not more than 100 feet
in distance apart as required by law, and -
�NHEREAS, a.t the time and pTace fixed £or the hearing of
protests and ob,jections to said matter, a. hearing was duly held
and no written or oral ob,jections were �ade, either in avriting or
orally, to the doing of said work, a.nd
WHEREAB, the City Council oP the City of Lynwood has
considered all of the facts e.nd is fully.informed in the matter;
that they have acquired ,�urisdiction to proceed and perform the work
of removal of said nuisances, �
NOV�, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Street Superinten-
dent of the City of Lynwood be and he is hereby instructed. to abate
,. , the nuisances described in said Resolution No. 2020 by having the
. weeds referred to removed, and ne and his assistants are hereby ex-
preasly authorized to enter upon private property for that purpose.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any property owners shall have
the right to have any sueh weed nuisance removed and abated at his
own expense, provided such work is done prior to the tiine the work

is done by the Street Superintendent. If the work is done by the
property owner, no charge shall be made by the City of Lynwood.
