Active Business
This meeting included an update of OREC's investigation of the MA Green Communities
Program and included the following topics:
o Chair provided a copy of his minutes from the meeting between Jim
Hungerford and Seth Pickering, of the DOER on 3-10-17. Seth has provided
his comments on Jim's minutes. The revised minutes will be available
before the next OREC meeting to all.
o Seth provided a description of the new Stretch Energy Code-Orleans.
o Jim will send to Town Admin, BOS, Tom Evers, Ron Collins, Finance
Committee and OREC.
Jim will contact Sims McGrath and John Kelly and request time on an up and
coming BOS meeting to have a presentation by Seth Pickering of the DOER.
Not all items listed may in fact be discussed and other items not listed may also be brought up for discussion to the extent permitted by law.

o During the BOS meeting, Seth Pickering will present and discuss the
specific tasks for Orleans to complete, if we want to become a Green
Community.
o OREC may also set up a town forum presentation by Seth Pickering in order
to inform town residents about a Green Community opportunity for Orleans.
Review and approve the minutes from the previous meeting held on 3/9/17
