A RFSOLUTIOi1 OF THC CITY COUNCiL OF THE CITY

_ ING OrF3CERS AND ENiPL0Y�E8 OF SAIA CITY.
The City Council of the City of Lynivood does resolve as
follovts:
Section I: All officers and empZoyees of the Clty o£
- Lynwood shall henceforth be paid on the fifth and twentieth day of `
each calendar month, provided t_hat uahen the said da,ys or either of

them fali on Saturday, Sunday, or Legal Holiday, said p�yment may
� be m�.de on the closest regula.r ti�JOrk day.
Section,2: To facilitate these paynents,.there is hereby
established a payroll'fund of �20,000.00 a.nd a warrant ordered f'orth-
�vith, drawn and deposited in the Payroll Fund. This fund shall be
. � used exclusively for the payment of salaries or wages to officere
and employees, Federal ?Nithholding Tax and �nployees' Retiremer.t Flznd
. contributions and. any other employee deduction or contributions
authorized by law. Such payment shall be made by checks drawn on
, said Payroll Fund; prep2red in the 'Preasurer's Office and aigned by
the City Treasurer and the Deputy Treasurer.
Section 3: Each Depaxtment Aead shall fur.nish the
Trea.surer with a detailed departmental payroll schedule based upon
the terma of emplogment of the several officers and, employees of the
City, certified for payment and. approved for all employees in said L
department by said Department Head, and by the City Cl�rk as to all
other officers and employees. Each schedule must:=be approved by the

schedule shall be delivered.to the City Treasurer twice each month
on tkie first regular work day follovti*in�• the fiPteenth and the ]_ast

Section 4: !�t the first or any regular meetin� of the
_ City Council succeedin�; the drawina or deliver.y of such payroll
� checks, the City Clerk sh�ll present to the City Council the payroll,
duly certiPied and a�proved as aforesaid; ana demand covering all
payments thereunder, duly certified to by the City Clerk, as to its
correctness and giving the total of the expenditures made from said
payroll fund for the payment of said. Officers and e�ployees.
Employee's deduction for Federal Income Tax and Retirement Punds
shall be included in said payroll and shall be paid in the manner
- as sala,ries and wrzges are paid., "
The City Gouncil shall thereupon audit the s aid payroll
and after audit shall dr�w a warrant or warrants in favor of the
Payroll F1znd. Said voucher or vouchers shall be de�oosited by the
City Treasurer in the Payroll Fund. Any corrections or ad�ustmants
of the payroll shall be made in the next succeeding payroll voucher.
�- Section 5: To provide for the-immediate payment of salary
or waUes due to employees who m�y resign, retire or are dismissed
between regular p�yment dates, tne City Treasurer is hereby authorized
to rnake such payment on certiPication by the Department Head and
�pproval of the Citp Phanager and. City Clerk that said paymerit of
salary or wages is in accordance with the term� of employment of
said emplo.yee. Also to provide for the payment of e�.rned salary or
� wa;es in ad_vanee of the regular paymerit date� as set fortiz in this
resolution when an employee is leavinp on his or her vacation. No
other payrnent of salary or wages in ad.vance af the regular payment
3ate is alloe�able. �
Section 6: The City ireasurer and Deputy Treasurer are
hereb,y authorized to sign and,deliver payroll checka drawn on the
Payroll Fund in the several a*�ounts to the,several officers and

�ection 7: That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of tr�is Resolution and thenceforth and thereaPter the same
shall be in full, force and effect.
