HomeMy Public PortalAboutR 00:328No. OO-'t)8 Date of Adoption October _5 ~_ 2000 PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES WHEREAS, there exists a need for professional services to provide engineering services required for preliminary evaluation of Harrison Avenue Pump Station and preparation of a report; and WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:l 1-5(1)(a) professional services are exempt from the requirements of competitive bidding; and WHEREAS, the Local Finance Officer has certified that funds are available. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret does hereby approve the appointment of Killam and Associates at amaximum cost of not to exceed $3000.00 billable per attached contract. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Borough Clerk are hereby authorized to execute said contract. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the contract is awarded without competitive bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:l 1-5(1)(a) due to the specialized and professional nature of the services provided. THE CONTRACTOR does hereby agree to perform the following PROFESSIONAL SERVICE TO PROVIDE ENGiNEERING SERVICE REQUIRED FOR PRELIMINARY EVALUATION OF HARRISON AVE., PUMP STATION & PREPARATION OF REPORT. NOT TO EXCEED $3,000.00 According to the terms set forth in Resolution. THE INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT ON THE REVERSE OF THE PURCHASE ORDER SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE VENDOR'S NEGLIGENT OR WRONGFUL ACTS.
