Mayor L. Seton Lindsay presided; Town Clerk Bauer acting as Secretary,
The minutes of the meeting held on March 12th,1955 were read and upon
motion, unanimously ratified and approved.
The following bank balances were reported as of March 31,1955.

The Commissioners unanimously approved checks drawn on the General
Account numbered 1861 to 1899 inclusive, also cecks drawn on the
Water Account numbered 30 to 32 inclusive.
Mayor Lindsay reported he had discussed with Mr. Sullivan, Town
Manager of the Town of Manalapan, relative to the Town of Gulf
Stream sharing the expense of Wages for their motorcycle Policeman
for a certgin number of patrols through the Town of Gulf Stream for
approximately 5 months during this coming winter season, at a
proposed expense of $1,000.00. Upon motion duly made and seconded
it was unanimously voted that Mayor Lindsay be empowered to enter
into any agreement with the Town of Manalapan for part time services
of their mototcycle policeman this coming fall along lines as
stated above. Mayor Lindsay said he would discuss with the Town of
Ocean Ridge, the question of their sharing part of the expense.
A letter was read from Mr. Kirby S. Starter, Assistant District-
Engineer of the State Road Department of Florida, dated April 1,
1955 in which he states in part
"I regret to inform you that we are not in a position to aid
in the topping of these trees ".
This arras in response to our request for State Aid in Topping Trees
on the East Side of State Road ALA within the limits of the Town..
Town Clerk Bauer was then instructed to contact County Commissioner
Ben F. Sundy to see if they would cooperate in the Topping of
Trees on the East Side of AlA.
A letter dated April 3rd was received from Mayor Bomeroy L. Dunbar,
Mayor of the Town of Ocean Ridge, Florida in response to our letter
of March 9th suggesting uniform Bulkhead and Seawall Lines, stating
that in principle, they were in favor.

It was reported that a letter had been received from Mr. Charles R.
Chevalier,Jr. Director Public Works in Delray Beach, informing the
Town of Gulf Stream that the future charge for Dumpigg Garbage at
Delray Dump would be 25 cents per cubic yard instead of 50 cents
per load as in the past.
Town Clerk Bauer reported that he had spoken with Mr. M.F. Tiernan
who informed him that in his opinion based on reports received from
his office "Wallace & Tiernan" that our present system of adding
Chlorine and Calgon to our Water Lines was, in his opinion, as
good as any other procedure.
After much discussion, in view of the contemplated repairs necessary
to be done to the Police Car approximating $200.00, it was unan-
imously voted that a new car be purchased. After comparing Bids
and Values it was voted that an Oldsmobile be purchased from Hoyle -
Cadillac, Delray Beach. All bids received were as follows:

After reviewing the proposed tentatitle budget for
1,1955 to September 30,1956, it was the unanimous
