HomeMy Public PortalAbout2012-08 Resolution Authorizing Publication of Ord 519Member Weir introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2012-08 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 519 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 519, an ordinance rezoning the eastern 117 feet of the property identified by Hennepin County property identification number 11-118-23-41-0001, at 805 Hamel Road, Medina, MN to the Two Family Residential (R2) zoning district; and WHEREAS, the ordinance contains a map identifying the location of the property to be rezoned; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, section 412.191, subd. 4, allows publication by title and summary in the case of lengthy ordinances or those containing charts or maps; and WHEREAS, the city council believes that the following summary would clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina that the City Administrator -Clerk shall cause the following summary of Ordinance No. 519 to be published in the official newspaper in lieu of the entire ordinance: Public Notice The city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 519. The ordinance rezones the eastern 117 feet of the property identified by Hennepin County property identification number 11-118-23-41-0001, at 805 Hamel Road, Medina, MN to Two Family Residential (R2). The full text of Ordinance No. 519 is available for inspection at Medina city hall during regular business hours. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that the City Administrator keep a copy of the ordinance in the clerk's office at city hall for public inspection and that the City Administrator post a full copy of the ordinance in a public place within the city.
