Authority Enabling ResolutionMember Weir introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2012-11 RESOLUTION REGARDING MEDINA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY ENABLING RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the city of Medina (the "City") is a municipal corporation, organized and existing under the laws of Minnesota; and WHEREAS, the Medina Economic Development Authority ("MEDA") is a public body corporate and politic under the laws of Minnesota; and WHEREAS, MEDA was established by the City by Resolution No. 2011-85, an enabling resolution adopted on September 20, 2011 (the "Enabling Resolution"); and WHEREAS, on January 17, 2012, MEDA adopted a resolution recommending that no modification be made by the City to the Enabling Resolution at this time; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section 469.092, subd. 3, the City is required to consider MEDA's recommendation and other relevant facts or circumstances regarding whether any modification to the Enabling Resolution should be made. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Medina that, following consideration of the recommendation of MEDA and all other relevant facts and circumstances, no modification shall be made at this time to the Enabling Resolution. Crosby, Jr., The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Pederson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Crosby, Pederson, Siitari, Weir And the following voted against same: (Absent: Martinson) None Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
